Description
As promised, here is a picture of the cover of my September 1998 issue of Game Informer Magazine, featuring a cover story on Spyro the Dragon. I got this recently off of ebay and I don't regret it. It has a two page review of the game, and a four page strategy guide, as well as the two page "Spyro Mania Sweeps Country" ad. I'll try to upload the other pictures soon, and I'm not sure how many there will be.Also in this issue is a preview of the PS1 game, Duke Nukem : Time to Kill, and an ad for Tomb Raider III at FuncoLand! Interestingly, the cover art for TR III in the magazine was not the final NTSC cover, so that was a nice suprise for me, being a TR fan.

interisting trivia that area behind spyro, the floating isles. Was originally going to be the final level for spyro the dragon. you know "Gnasty's Loot" the level would have worked that you would start from a single isle and have to work your way up solving problems and collecting gems aswell as free elders. This would end inside the castle where the final boss would appear a dragon elder who challenges spyro then the player would have to use all the knowledge learned throughout the game to be him. The reward would be unlimited flight for use in any level like the super flame from spyro 2. This was scrapped due to time restrictions however aspects of the concept appears in gnasty's loot such as unlimited flight and the puzzles aswell as the objective to "climb as high as you can".

Really? Reminds me of the Floating Islands level in Tomb Raider II, which was made just one year before Spyro the Dragon. I wonder if they were inspired by that?

Yup, my collection is pretty huge, if you visit my old DA account, GirThinksDibRocks,I have several pictures of my collection there, I don't have this magazine in the picture though because the last time I took an updated picture of the collection was in December I think.

I know that. I just put that because the original Spyro game was made and owned by Insomniac. If it was a Legend of Spyro or Skylanders picture, then I would have put (c) Activision.
