I bought way too much paint for a Design project, so I'm trying to use it now. So here it is, my first painting! Nowhere close to finished lolThis is Karyu, guitarist of D'espairsRay. The more I work on this the more girly he looks xD Eventually this painting will look nothing like him, but as long as it looks like a person in the end I will be happy

T_T sniffy sniffy, you gun. I've been trying out that style and failing XD the problem, of course, is also picking a ref, but yeeaaah, you just kep hititng my sore spot in art love. excuse me if i do sound really mushy. this is just my favourite style.

Aww this is nothing to cry about!! This isn't anywhere near finished, so it's not even successful yet hehe
But I'm still new to paint, so I think I'm going to get some more practice and start over again with this xD

start over? sounds familiar XD oh yeah - I finished that commission and I think the people were pleased. plus, now I'm onto mucking around with COLOURED PENCILS (UNHEARD OF!). of course sketches are still my main focus, and will remain so for some times if my pictures continue to look anything like what I tried out today XDD

Oh my god, color pencils!! I always thought using color pencils was a lot easier than using pencils..when it comes to shading, dealing with things that are in color, and just the impermanence of pencil, it's too much work xD Have you made any progress?? (I want to see!)
