Description
This is the companion piece to my other HEROS portrait, Sylar- the watchmaker . For some reason it scanned darker than it really is. At least it looks dark on my computer.Peter gave me the hard time. And here I thought that Mark Hamill had the hardest face to draw. Not so anymore. Milo Ventimiglia beats him hands down. Still I did my best so enjoy.
This piece will also be on display at ComicCon in San Diego from July 25-29. The convention is only days away and I still have so much to do.
Drawn on Canson pastel paper, with General's Pastel chalk pencils.

Pastel chalk pencils? Never heard of such.
But to be able to draw him or a person at all realisticly with just colors alone is AMAZING!

Hullo Redelk! I am currently staring at the beautifully done Explosive Peter Petrelli sitting on my desk. I had absolutely no intention of bidding on or buying anything at the Comic Con art show... but of course, Explosive Peter Petrelli came along. I saw this piece, got very excited, successfully resisted bidding initially but gave in the following day! (I'm so glad I did.) It's interesting to hear that his likeness gave you a hard time because you captured Peter Petrelli perfectly. You may see imperfections and could've-done-betters but man, I've been showing the portrait to everyone around me (and er, squealing with glee). It's that good. Hopefully you managed to make it to the Heroes panel. My 2+ hours in line was nowhere near enough to get me in.

Alas I too did not get into the HEROS panel. It was a very poorly planned idea not to clear the rooms after each panel. I heard that people were sitting in hall 20 since the opening of the con on sat just so they wouldn't miss the HEROS panel. I know that many people complained. I and a friend of mine are planning on writing a complaint letter to the convention heads. As a professional I didn't lose out on money but those convention goers that paid to get into the show only to stand in that line for hours that barely move it was a horrible waste of, not only their money, but their time as well.
