Description
Hope instantly sprang up in Luke, Lana’s heart remembered her feelings for him even if her mind did not, of that he had no doubt. He hung on to that as if his life depended on it and let the feelings he had for her show in his loving gaze. Lana straightened nervously as he advanced a step and tenderly caressed her cheek again.“I wouldn’t mind,” he softly empathized, fully understanding her need, as it matched his own.
Lana was stunned by his blatant invitation. Who was he, that he could inspire her pulse to run so hot with desire? She wanted him to take her in his arms, to kiss her and feel the passion she saw in his hopeful blue eyes. The powerful draw to never be parted from him again was both enticing and frightening and made her feel guilty. Only her stubborn strength of will, not to be trapped by strange conflicting emotions she didn’t fully understand, gave her an avenue of escape. She took it, backing away from him, and then turned. Without even thinking she started for the door. It was a pure gut reaction, one that had made her momentarily forget her agreement in the medical center to remain with Luke, until Colonel Palmer said otherwise.
Still Luke hadn’t forgotten it. He stopped her, not with a reminder of her promise, but with a tender request. “Please, don’t leave.”
She told herself to keep moving but something in the sound of his voice held her in place, overriding the urge to pull free of him when he silently came up from behind and gently took her hand. Terell jumped into her mind, she would not betray him with this stranger. She shut her eyes and swallowed nervously when Luke lightly caressed her hair and softly whispered into her ear, “Stay with me.”
Luke knew that she must be thinking of Terell right now and told himself not to push her. Still his heart would not listen even as he felt her trembling at his familiarity. He leaned his head against hers and whispered a heartfelt confession to push the dead Alderaanian from her mind.
“I can’t breath without you, Alana. Please remember me.”

This is an illustration done for a fan fic entitled 'Corellian Pledge.' There was no date on it but I think I did it in 2003, in pencil. I cleaned up the background in photo shop because pencil can be messy. That's why the background looks so clean. God forebid that Hamill should have an easy face to draw. From every angle he looks different and there was no photo reference for this picture. I love and hate to draw Luke. All in all though I am very happy with the feel of this piece.
Lana (aka Alana) belongs to me

Thank you so much. I'm glad you like it.
Honestly I had to redo this illustration about three times before I got it half way acceptable for my tastes. Pulled out a lot of hair, luckily its all grown back since then.

*sigh* Don't you hate it when your art just doesn't feel like cooperating?
You're welcome.

That was the only thing I felt was worth commenting on at the time.
Why do I have to publicly announce that I love this image? Havent I mentioned it enough while at your house?
I like your bigger version, because Luke is hotter in his daddy's outfit. And Vader-black is hot...ter...than this...>_> Sort of.

That is gorgeous. Is that Mara he's with? Or a fan character?

MARA! MARA! Who the hell is Mara?
Hee, hee I'm just joking, I know who she is. But I wish I didn't.
The woman in the drawing is an O.C. named Lana.
I'm glad you liked the drawing. I was really worried about posting it because I know that there are a lot of Mara fans out there.
I am not one of them.
As far as I'm concerned I only count the first trilogy, movies, books and comics as canon. Anything beyond RotJ exist in an alternate universe. I mean let's face even Lucas himself has contradicted himself.

Hey, everyone's entitled to like or dislike something. It's what makes the world interesting. I, for one, love the new trilogy more than the classic trilogy. And, although I own almost all of them, there are a lot of books I can't stand. I think the publishers made a lot of poor choices when it came to their writers, but again, that's my opinion.
As for who Luke ends up with, fanfic existed long before Mara did, so he loves whoever a particular author puts him with!

I like you. You make me smile.
To be honest I have never read any of the books. Well okay that is not entirely true. I did read the very first one, well actually I read the first two pages and then set it down because it was very predictable. I do have a few books because Drew Struzan illustrated the cover art. I know it sounds crazy buying a book for the cover art. But I love Drew's work, he's awsome!
Okay I admit it, I liked episodes 1 & 2. I know most of the people who prefer the orginal trilogy didn't like the kid that played Anakin. But hey I did. Luke had to get his whininess from someone after all. And quite frankly if I had been Anakin and Yoda had said, in so many words, "you're doomed kid." I would have tried to punt him off his very high seat and chuck his little green bum off the top of the Jedi temple.
The only thing that I was disappointed with in SW 1&2 was the great Jedi counsels complaisancy. That and Yoda's attitude, which dropped him in my eyes just a bit.
Okay I know I'm ranting. I'll stop now.
