Pokemon Reality volume 4 page 15.Honestly now, how many of you have sacrificed a pokemon for the good of the team like this? Ever thought about how much bravery it must take for a pokemon to fight, knowing it stands no chance, just to allow it's team mate to take the victory?
Only attack on this page is Skyfire's steel wing!

Only a few times. I usually try to have my team set up with moves for their weaknesses, just like Skyfire's steel wing. A few times they will win while other times their opponent has a strong defense, special defense, or higher speed. But it was higher sacrifices back in the red & blue version days.

I do too, but often even their 'covering' moves aren't strong enough to actually help against a super effective opponent. A taillow's steel wing might be super effective against an onix but taillow have such low attack compared to onix's defense that it isn't really all that helpful. Which kinda sucks. Like what you said, really. And I love the original games, I played Yellow for the first time ever last year!

I just never managed to get my hands on it to be honest. Then I was looking at the retro section of a little game shop that opened in town and saw an old, used, yellow cartridge. I bought it along with another copy of red and have been happy ever since.

Me too! It was great fun, I loved having pikachu follow me around everywhere! They should have kept the pokemon following you like in heartgold/soulsilver in the new games!

Maybe they'll fix that further down the line. If not with the third game in the unova region, the next new land they use in the series.

Perhaps! I personally wouldn't be surprised if they didn't release a pokemon yellow remake for the 3DS at some point in the near future, with pikachu at least still following you. How awesome would that be?

pretty awesome. Especially if they added being able to go to Johto and the islands from Firered & Leafgreen. More stuff to explore than just the kanto region.

I always do that! Except I just use one to poison or curse the opponent so I can finish it with another.
