Do you mind sharing a few specifics on how you do this? I don't want you handing me your secrets or anything, but I'd like to know how other people do it and get an idea on how I could improve my own work.

Secrets?) well, i even don't know what to say... my way is very usual for digital painting)))really)) Sketch -> basic tone -> lights -> shadows -> details, different lighting effects)Do you have special question about something? if you'll ask more concretely i'll try to explain this)))

yep))) ^^ Sometimes one work can include a lot of layers - usual 17-20))i like to draw all details on different layers cuz it helps to fix mistakes on all steps of work))

Ну про сам арт я уже написал своё мнение, а что по поводу этого: всегда поражался, как это всё рисуется. Это же надо сделать набросок, потом как-то докрашивать, и ведь не просто как в детских раскрасках фломастером. Все эти элементы добавлять. Блин, это прямо как новую эзотерическую технику разрабатывать - титанический труд.

я просто не люблю делать лайнарты))) не знаю, как-то мне лень тратить время и силы на выведение красивых линий скетча, когда потом это всё благополучно закрашивается..))) XDDDDD поэтому мои первые наброски всегда выглядит мягко говоря убого, а по ходу дела то, что не прорисовалось, благополучно добавляется))
надо учится вообще без скетча рисовать и на одном слое XD

Ну не знаю, мне нравится. Да, есть арты, когда специально долго вырисовывают "карандашиком", но они как-то иначе воспринимаются, их ведь так и планируют. А вот когда зарисовка делается сразу с расчётом на будущее, то арт другой. В этом свой шарм какой-то есть. Ну или я просто странный тип
