Description
The first of two submissions by me to Project Aurora's 3rd release (see www.projectaurora.art). Made using a combination of Cinema4d, Video Copilot's Orb plugin for After Effects and Photoshop.Really pleased with this piece and how it came out, in particular the calm feeling of it (despite the obvious power of the gas giant behind the portal). Hope everyone else likes it to.

Some of my favourite accompaniement to sleeker styles of technologically inclined space scenes as yours. Quite odd since their only purely sci-fi themed cover was a single Roger Dean cyberpunk scene.

Indeed they are. If I was to select a "trinity" of sci-fi painters, it would be him next to Chris Foss and H.R. Giger.
If you do get a chance, do give Asia's videos a look as well. Especially Go: Some may say the content is too rooted in its era to have aged well, but feel it is practically a proclamation of love to that particular style.
