Description
This is a raven inspired from a stock image. I do not grid nor do I trace so surely there will be differences in the bird and other things. I prefer to go with my interpretation of how I see things. The user name is Fallowpenstock. Not sure how to create a link but if you search for that user you will find it and many other wonderful pics they have graciously made available. Check them out! Will try to figure out how to create a link.... Used graphite to sketch out the initial drawing but then used black color pencil with a hint of blues in the eyes.[link]

Thank you very much, glad you like. Ever since finding someone who used black prismacolor instead of graphite I have had fun trying those out. I thought this guy was appropriate for that use. Very surprised at how light you can go with those, and it seems to eliminate the shine prob graphite has on the real dark areas.

[link] this tells you all aboout points and sometimes people donate points to other deviants if they like their work also..but if you do not think you could use points then they are not omportant for you enough to put any time and trouble into drawing

Thank you. I wish I didn't have to do the watermark thing too but I have had theft before and just put too much work into things to have them just printed out and used. It is frustrating it has come to that. Thanks again

I like the way the texture of the paper looks with the raven's feathers. It looks really natural. The way you shaded the raven is good, too; it shows off the raven's dark and glossy plumage. I especially like the way you drew the feathers around the face and neck.

It is mostly black color pencil. Saw some beautiful works by a person using that instead of graphite. Will send the link to you when I can find it. They are unbelievable and I was completely inspired and do not do it the justice she does, but thank you for the nice complement!
