Description
Julian is my african wild dog oc- sorry, were-african-wild-dog, whom I write about from time to time. Turns out he is also a blast to draw, so that's how this happened.I happen to roleplay him with a couple of DA bro's, so he gets to live in my DA gallery. Such a special snowflake.
Don't steal or whatever.

I don't know why I love this so much! I... Just... Do!!!! Btw, how do you make your lines so perfect?

Just practice man. :3 I made these lines with a standard round brush in Photoshop. It helps if the image you're working on it large- I usually start at my screen resolution and work up and currently my favorite canvas size is 5000 x 2900 pixels. When you work larger, your brush can be smaller by comparison and, when you resize it smaller to post it on the internet, a lot of the shakiness and some of the mistakes in the linework blur together. Plus details are just easier with a small brush on a big canvas so my major hint is to always work larger.
But most of it is just practice and patience.

Julian is pretty terrible at being a wild dog though. x3 He's actually afraid of dogs. Petrified of his own reflection. Such a little failure. They are a cool species though, this I cannot deny, even with all of his derp.

Thanks. :3 I was actually pretty lazy and haphazard with my lines in this. Glad they are still impressive despite that. x3

M'kay, I'll give you the win there. But mrrr, Youtube is sadly lacking in your uploads, yes. I 'dunno though, I have issues with uploading speedpaints. I mean, when I record it, I can't get the whole process. I work really slowly so I have to section off parts in each step of the process. And then when I try to condense it all together in Windows Movie Maker, it cuts off the ending on each clip and just fucks it all up.

Sectioning off parts is actually a more efficient way to do things in a speedpaint. You really only have to show parts of the lineart and coloring stages- once people see the basic technique that you are using, the rest is just monotonous and boring, more of the same. I purposefully cut my coloring and lineart stages short. No one seems to mind. x3
So I wouldn't worry about it. The Youtube crowd is pretty easy to impress so I doubt they'd even miss the cut sections.

Mhmm, agreed. I've been doing that but occasionally portions are still removed at the end of each clip. Nothing too substantial now though. Thanks for the tip~ No one even seems to notice the clips are cut. XD I think with the speed increase it moves too fast for anyone to pick out what might be missing. Thankfully.
