So if you guys remember Titus and Tate, they were written and designed to ride a pair of creatures known as Equestrodons- and original species owned and controlled by the lovely Notesz . However, Titus and Tate had no purpose, place or real storyline beyond that, they were just bodies to throw on the backs of my two Equestrodons that I bought a little while ago. I fell in love with the species immediately, I am absolutely obsessed with them and I don't know why. I'm an absolute simp for dinosaur creatures, I really don't know. So I loved them immediately but when I got the chance to adopt two of my own, the obsession turned up to 11. So, since I am also a simp for Fox and because she has specs into Animal Handling she is really good at talking to and training animals to be ridden, I said 'fuck it', so now both Voodoo and Hooligan belong to her and it's the best decision I have ever made.

Look at these two babies. I could die I am so in love.

Voodoo is Fox's main mount and companion, bought for her by one of her inglorious bastards when they first set off to find Fox's true home and someone to take that collar off of her. Originally,he was young- only a few years old (assuming Equestrodons age like horses anyway) and completely untrained, so he was bought for a very low price, an absolute steal really. But Fox proves to be an absolutely amazing animal handler and trainer. 'Beast Speak' is the only language that she can actively participate in, she does not and cannot speak anything else and instead uses sign language to communicate with humanoids. But because she can speak with animals, not only to them but also understand it in return, she has an incredibly easy time training mounts and pets. By the time the group gets all of their supplies together and go about their business, Fox has Voodoo completely tamed and Hooligan is like...maybe 75% trained. But he's Hooligan, he kind of never gets above 85% trained, he's an asshole like that.

Voodoo here is much more laidback. He's stubborn and strong-willed, I imagine most Equestrodons are, but Fox is somehow smarter than he is,which is saying a lot. So she can be persuasive enough to convince him to do things, but she is very much 'convincing' him and not 'commanding' him. He responds to excessive force with aggression so everything that she does with him is a negotiation, but Beast Speak is 90% non-verbal so, it may not look like she is asking him to stuff, either while riding him or on the ground, but in truth it is a constant conversation between the two of them. Body language, posture, a little nudge here, a little tug there. At first, he simply tolerates her presence on his back. He likes her a lot when she is on the ground but getting him used to being ridden was a huge pain in the ass. His previous owners were abusive, so he has trust issues. But after Fox jumps into a bad situation in order to save his life, he gains some respect for her and kind of chooses to obey her from that point on. It helps that she always has food on her person- she has a ravenous appetite of her own, but she often shares with her animals and Voodoo is a simpleton who likes food. But he really starts to accept and befriend her after she saves his life. He leans into the training from that point on and, feeling like he owes her a great debt, he does pretty much anything that she asks him to do, trusting and obedient with her but her only. Because he leans in so much after being saved, Fox has no need for tack or bits or anything like that so she is generally seen riding him bareback and always without a bit, usually controlling him with a simple neck rope. He appreciates the comfort of this, another reason that he holds Fox in high regard, he cannot stand being saddled. But the ocassional snack, a nice afternoon nap in the shade of some trees, and wonderful head pats and butt scratches are more than enough by themselves.

Though Fox has a whole stable where she trains animals, mostly mountable animals and usually some kind of horse, Voodoo is her choice companion and the two are rarely far from one another. Voodoo is pretty casual with low energy and a penchat for sleeping, something that Fox can relate to for sure. But he is also daring and brave, the kind of mount that charges enemies rather than running from them. He has teeth and he knows how to use them, but generally chooses not to,and instead he kind of runs the stable with mock charges and vocalizations, lots of bluffs full of hot air and such. He's generally not violent, he'd rather eat or nap than fight, but he is VERY protective of and supportive of Fox and constantly wants to be around her. He has massive separation anxiety when he is not around her. Hooligan's presence helps, they are kind of like brothers despite not being related. But Fox is his best friend so they spend a lot of time together, both kind of lazy and napping and ignoring responsibilities in favor of immediate gratification and what not.

He really likes to have his butt scratched and loves water, he loves to swim.
