Description
Important things not included in the ref:

- One of two male cubs born from a white lioness, he and his brother both were abandoned at a very young age because they were not white like his mother. This means he has a chance to throw white cubs as he has the gene for leucism, he just does not express it himself.

- His brother's name was Izulu, which means "heaven" in Zulu. Ishogo means "hell".

- He and his brother were attached at the hip, but he was recently murdered by his mate. Izulu was very popular with the ladies and though he never really fell for anyone, not even after they joined the Northlands Pride, he did like one lioness enough to mate with her and she gave birth to a single white cub. The cub's white fur triggered some PTSD-like memories when Izulu saw him and without warning the lion killed his newborn son. The pride was alerted immediately by the female and though Ishogo came to his brother's defense, he's not the most educated lion out there and was unable to plead his brother's case. So he intended to go with his brother, expecting him to be banished. But he was instead sentenced to death and the pride took him out. Ishogo tried to defend him but he was one lion against eighteen. He ended up fleeing the territory as the pride's anger turned itself on him for interfering. The degree to which he wants revenge is substantial.

- He's very much an adult with bags under his eyes betraying his age. He is not "young" by any means, probably in his fifties if he aged like a human being.

- He has an Outlander face with the notched nose bridge and the pointed nose. However, his body is pretty thick and well-built. He is a very large super powerful lion, but he does not move very fast. Not all of his bulk is muscle either. He mostly lives by fighting off other rogue lions and stealing their kills or whatever they happen to have, something that comes easy for a lion of his size, so he is well fed and is kind of fat.

- He looks a lot like Kovu before you color him.

- His pawpads are the same color as his inner ear and tongue.

- Claws are always visible and are black in color.

- His dorsal stripe stops just above his tail and, though as a cub it went all of the way to his forehead, his mane now blocks it from the shoulders up. It's there, you just cannot see it.

- His light color makes him very popular with the ladies, especially if they learn that he can throw white cubs. It's a generally desirable trait. But even then, the contrast between his light coat and red mane are also considered kind of attractive, and on top of all of this he is an arrogant son of a bitch and flirts with females constantly, jumping around from one one-night-stand to another, never settling down.

- He is gynesexual, meaning he is into females mostly but can and does tolerate anything that is even sort of female. If he's desperate, he does not mind playing with feminine males. As long as it has a hole really, he'll consider it, though the more feminine his target is, the better.

- He is a self-centered asshole. After his brother was killed, he stopped forming relationships with really anyone for any reason, he did not want to experience the pain of losing them like he lost his brother. So he's been wandering around as a rogue, sometimes helping others but only when the real goal is to help himself. He seems to have forgotten how to care about anyone other than himself, so he steals kills, harasses females, and just fights others to get what he wants in that moment. He'll often help in a hunt only to steal and guard the carcass for himself, even when he promises to share. His word is worth nothing, he should not be trusted, he lies and cheats and steals to get what he wants and does not give a rat's behind about anyone other than himself.

- He does not like white lions. Just everything that has happened to him because of that coloration has made him super sensitive about it.

- He likes to swim and wallows in mud when it's hot. He's not very tolerant of the heat so he spends most of the daylight hours napping in the shade or blowing bubbles in shallow water. He is secretly a giant manchild and is easily amused.

- Considers himself a mercenary who is often hired by nearby prides if they need someone taken out or something shady done for the sake of their survival. He will maim, kill, attack and rob anyone for a decent price (said price is usually either food or the rite to mate with someone). He does not stick around afterward either, just off to find another pride in need of his services. He refuses to join another pride, but most of the places that he frequents know about him and some prides are very relaxed about him wandering the edges of their territory. Despite being an absolutely horrible dickweed, he does good work so others trust him at least that much and allow him to trespass with minimal complaint.

- Not a fan of the Circle of Life. He does not think some mythical piece of geometry decides who lives and who dies. He thinks that creatures down here, on Earth, those that are living and making decisions, they are the ones who decide what happens in their lives and the Circle of Life is just a story adults tell their cubs so they don't feel bad about killing prey animals to feed themselves. He thinks it's a joke and believes that the power lies in every one of us, we decide to fight, we decide to kill, and we decide who gets the credit for our actions. He credits himself, obviously.

- Though he has encountered humans, he keeps his distance. Mostly because they are super weird looking. He has helped himself to some cattle and the occasional dog, but he's very weary about this. He really does not like them, their hairless bodies and upright posture is so strange. Also, he's heard stories that eating humans drives you mad so he has no interest in becoming a man-eater.

- He does not eat other lions either, again because he believes it drives you into insanity. He does kill other lions, mostly cubs, often in a half-hearted attempt to seize control of a pride or to force a pretty lady to go into heat. But he does not eat them. This being said, he's not the best baby-sitter, mothers with cubs of any age are advised to stay away from him. Unfortunately, he is charming as fuck and young females often fall right into his trap. He has a bit of a reputation about this now and is therefore not allowed anywhere near most prides' den sites, even if he is temporarily working for them.

- He has never seen the ocean, he lives deeeeeeep inland.

- He's not very smart and is easily confused by the simple use of big words or by talking too fast or making too complex a plan. He loses the plot almost immediately when things get too technical. He follows instinct and gut feelings, not formulas and numbers and hunting strategies and such things. Just point out what you want him to kill and then get out of the way.

So I've decided to give up on Mkali-Baadaye. It's just too... much. They move too fast, the character acceptance system is confusing as hell, and they require so much activity in so many different ways I just cannot keep up and people often seem to get tired of roleplaying with me. Idk if I write too much or what, but it's been a problem in every single Art RPG Group I've been in. So I give up. I'm just going to write my own Lion King universe and everyone else can shove it. I love to rp but I just was not having fun in the group or on this forum that I joined recently. Neither one is really considerate of how I like to roleplay. I am still willing to roleplay any of my TLK characters if anyone wants to do that with me. It just won't be part of any group system or anything so... be mindful of that. Would just be for fun.
