Us bronies, we're kinda awesome really.This wallpaper was inspired by a video by MandoPony; a cover of 'Sunshine and Celery Stalks' by PPS. This was the song which would bring him into the fandom, and get him where he is today. Check the video if you havent seen it: [link]
ANYWAY, within the description I found this gem of a quote. For me, it basically summed up in under 40 words the very reason why I loved this fandom so much. I really have no interesting story to tell about how MLPFIM has turned my life around like MandoPony, but I can offer my heartfelt gratitude to every single Brony worldwide for creating such an awesome community.

It's true that quote sums up a lot... still there would be so much more to say...
I found his story quite moving. This "show" can give us so much... and I'm not counting the times it has completed my life anymore. That, is magic.
What I feel the most is gratitude. It seems we are a lot like this, but again, I can't help it, so thank you as well for making this great picture and simply for being here :)

you know, there's a lot of "if you coyld go to equestria, would you?" conversations around me lately, and i've gotta say, out of all the bronies, i think madnopony would deserve to go the most, not little ol' me. or acousticbrony, or the most masculine brony in the world. there are tons of choices better than i, and i acknowledge that. mando does good work, and i certainly don't buy into the stupid pedo rumors. that's just trolls trolling.

There are so many well-known talented bronies out there, it may feel like we are at the bottom of the pile, but you don't have to be be 'famous' to deserve to go to Equestria. Nobody is perfect, but if you have that spirit somewhere within you, that attitude that makes you strive to do better, to be kind, to be generous, to be loyal honest and happy, then I think you have well earned the right to go to Equestria.

Anyways, I chose to steer well clear of the drama surrounding the allegations that MandoPony faced in recent months. It's sad to see such a talented person deal with all the abuse he received. But that's just the internet I suppose, a place for creativity to bloom, and a place for hatred to be slung at one another.
To me, he's just Andrew Stein, the talented musician who has given the Brony fandom a plethora of wonderful songs to delight in and/or reflect on.
But if I'm wrong, well you have the right to tell me 'I told you so', but it's not going to change my view on his music.

It's not considering what the community has done during its time. Although, the same fact remains, we all enjoy a show primarily designed for young girls. It will always be that people will find this odd, and pass judgement. I just hope people aren't so short to judge you in the future, and that they can learn what really lies behind this fandom.

the show itself has made me cry and smile and has some interesting traits to it...to which goes to show not everything has to be violent or sex or drug driven to be something good...in honesty its pure humor with good morals in it

This wallpaper is fantastic, one of the best MLP wallpapers i've seen for sure! But, I think i'd like it even more if there was a version without the quote. Not to say I dislike the quote. But on my desktop setup, with Rainmeter objects and such, the quote gets blocked and that kind of makes my whole desktop look off. If you could release a version without the quote you'd defenetly make my week

I imagine twenty years from now, we'll be telling our kids about how we liked My Little Pony when we were their age, and that it was much, much better than when it sold its soul to a motion picture franchise........

This is awesome. It's how I feel about the community, too! It's really the best fandom I've come across, and people are generally friendlier to each other than I've seen in many other fandoms. Still a bit of strife here and there, but that's a bit inevitable.

As much as i enjoy this and its a great piece btw....im just someone that cant see this "overpersonification" of the show going anywhere good. Call me paranoid (as i usually tend to be) but talk like that is more insinuative of this being a kind of global movement. Now im not saying that as if it were a bad thing all im saying is that movements, often tend to be costly to those involved. In any case its just an overactive paranoia on my part.....still...

You've got a good point, treating the show as some sort of religion or movement takes the idea way out of proportion. Devoting your life to the show may have its benefits now, but what of the future? As much as it pains me to say it, this lovely show will end, be it a year from now, two years or more. What then will the more 'hardcore' devotees to the show do, will people give up the rest of their lives for the show and its community? Anyway, grim speculations aside, I think of the show and the brony community as a 'legacy' because of the way it all started. The fandom is very unique and unusual, which is what sets it aside from any other fanbase that has been and gone. It has a really strong sense of community and there is a phenomenal level of acceptance (excluding the few assholes here and there). The huge amount of talent in our fandom has even spawned mini celebrities within the fandom (see the man below), that people can aspire to, and can be inspired by to create their own art. All in all, however it ends, the story of bronies will be definitely be remembered, and for our sakes, I hope it is in a positive way.

Well sir. I suppose that with all that we have accomplished i think we will make a fine legacy. All im saying is that....sometimes.....the "Die hard" fans, are called that for a reason. I know its a counter intuitive ideal to what most people see us "bronies" as, but its still a possibility. (if im being to vague its cause i dont want to actually say the words that could spark a heated debate.)
