Finally, at long last, Challenger has a profile drawing! Everyone’s favorite cheerful catastrophe has returned once more, this time with revamped hair and extra-shiny shoes!

Here are the notes!
-I made her hair look more specifically like it belongs in the late 70s or early 80s - in other words, the timeframe of Challenger’s operational life. It was surprisingly hard to draw and especially tricky to shade, as I’ve never really done much with that style before.
-Speaking of shading, I tried to make the shadows a bit more obvious yet still natural-looking and not too different from the other profile drawings. I recently got some really useful feedback regarding my drawings looking rather flat from a distance, so I put extra care into the shading on this piece. I think it paid off!
-The black parts on her shoes are shinier than the white ones. I considered making the white parts shiny too, but I decided against it because I liked how it looked with only the black parts all glossy like that.
-I switched the NASA logo and her name tag around; before, they were on opposite sides of her chest. This better reflects what her original orbiter form looked like when viewed from the top down.
-The markings on her shoes are correct now. Challenger had these distinct gray edges on her wings, which weren’t reflected in my original drawing of her. They’re there now!
-She now has a zipper tag that’s shaped like a space shuttle! It has her numerical designation, OV-099, engraved on it.
-She has dimples now, just because I thought it was cute.
-The title for this one is from Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen!
