Psh, man, I wish I had seen this before I got all bent out of shape XD This is a great tutorial! I have a whole library full of references, but I can't use 'em unless I drag my computer wherever I go! XD

This is very useful. Everything is well explained and eay to follow. Though it kinda looks like you're giving the finger in the bottom left hand corner

I'm thrilled if you really think you learned something. If there's anything that's badly explained or doesn't seem to make sense, I'd appreciate telling it. I'll probably make more of these and need people's feedback to make them as useful as possible.

oh... one more thing... I always find a step by step constructional tut helpful... Maybe if you showed that... Like: I have no clue how you start with these drawings?? So to see a hand being built up... (one of them crazy twisted spatial ones)

I really appreciate the comments! The finger ellipse thing has a pretty messy wording allright but I was trying to explain it's good to draw ellipses at the joints so that the roundness is there automatically when you add the contours.
I don't know why on earth I didn't think of a 3d step by step as well as the front view one; sounds like an obvious thing now that you said it. I may update it whenever I take the time to study the bones a bit better so I can make the third paragraph more trustworthy at the same time.

Very good. I find you list plenty of details, and important things to note. The hard bit with all drawings is the translation into 3-D... Which is pretty much up to practice. I got lost a little bit at the end of the second to last paragraph, when you were explaining about the fingers, and ellipses, and ... *brain crash. But on the whole, it was a very good tutorial

Haha, great seeing someone's finally commented this. Ten days' silence was a bit of a disappointment for a tutorial but at least I've gotten a heap of views.

And some favs, that's good ^^
But I did notice that I was supremely lacking in comments Oo
Though admitidly you are quite beyond me when it comes to art, I find I rarely get favs XD
I found I got some on the one I drew of the butterfly-girl-thing though <3 XD

Yeah, poor, poor me. Indeed, almost the biggest number of favs I've gotten is something of a consolation, just thought it'd be good to know if people read them too.

I don't wonder, those butterflies were great.

Agreed >< It's nice to know that something that you've spent time on is actually put to good use ^^
Thanx XD
Maybe I should stick to butterflies D:

Nah, by no means - If anything, it goes the other way around! You already have good control over twisting 2d shapes (like butterfly wings) so maybe next step could be building block figures out of 3d forms like boxes and spheres. I know it sounds boring though, it just helped for me some time.
