Description The two different methods I use is Onion skin and Stick Figure Choreography.

Onion Skin is used for simpler, higher detailed animation.

Stick Figure Choreography is used for high framed animations. I do all my fight scenes with it.

I prefer using the SFC (Stick Figure Choreography) because I can animate a stick figure and see if the animation is fluid. This is the reason why I use Flash.

really you think so? I was looking at your animation tutorials on youtube and its just so many steps I dont know where to start. But don't worry though I'll try something simple and work from there.

I am going to make some new one around christmas so maybe I can simplify it a bit.

However, its just watching anime and study it. Slow it down and see how each frame progresses.

Do you hand draw the lines (free hand) for the onion method or do you use like vector lines and pen tools?

How You Do The Onion Skin Part?
Is The Clothes Layer Still Behind The Head?

(I Know Because I Watched Your Video)

In Flash, there's a button for it. In PS, you need to have the last layer unhidden at about 40-50% opacity.

If I gat it right you create a vector animation in flash and color it in photoshop. Clever you couldn't make such straight lines in photoshop. I really like that idea. It only disapoints me, that I will have to work with flash too. I thought the new photoshop (CS5) I am getting in September is going to have some inbuild vector stuff all ready. OMG this means I must get flash as well. Anyway you worked out quite a nice method of combining these two programes. I finally understand why your animations are so smooth. :-D

For the onion skin, do you just draw straight onto Flash? No guidelines?
Awesome to See The Process BTW

You can use SFC in photoshop. put it in a group then make another group for the drawing

it's perfect but give a bit blur on both sasuke sakura & kakashi just al litle bit of blur and then you got a real traditional japanese style anime

SFC, is it just drawing out the stick figure and seeing how it animates or do you use IK bones on a drawn stick figure?

Smyton4tw In reply to G-Tempest [2010-06-29 03:05:27 +0000 UTC]

I draw the stick figures to see how it animates.
