After talking to Koevit, Mirage had headed home to start planning, writing a list of things she needed to get done before heading to where Stave's Rest should be. It wasn't a very big list, but the tasks themselves were a little harder to do off paper.

"Buy maps, plan a route for the trip there." she muttered to herself, pencil tapping against the page as she went over the tasks, "I should have plenty of water skins to use, food might be an issue, but nothing a trip to Lasso's Farm could fix." she made light tick marks next to each errand that was for the most part complete or easy to do. she swiped her pencil down to the last item on the list and let out a small sigh.

-Buy an Ori

"Why did I say I'd ride over there, I don't even own an Ori. Buying one wouldn't be an issue except most of the Oris here aren't usually for sale and those who are go relatively quick." she leaned on her chin and stared at the words while thinking. "Maybe I'll be lucky and there'll be one for sale in town tomorrow."

With that, she shut the book and went down stairs. the sun was just beginning to set so she had a few hours before she needed to sleep. Dinner, a quick trip to the bath house and a short piano session later Mirage turned in early for the night slightly dreading the preparation of tomorrow.

She groaned and rolled onto her stomach while tucking her face into the blanket. The window made for a nice view of the sunrise but was a pain when it came to waking up to the sun shining straight onto her face.

"I should really rearrange this, or close my curtains before bed." she mumbled before begrudgingly rolling out and stretching. She grabbed a white shirt with a dark vest, put them on along with a pair of arm warmers with spoodle wool lining before putting her hair up into a pony tail and heading down stairs.

Being up at sunrise meant no one else was awake, so grabbing a fruit from the kitchen for breakfast and her satchel she made her way towards the northern part of town. She checked the board and asked around if anyone had or knew anyone who had an Ori for sale with most answers yielding a no or sold already.

Mirage sighed and leaned on a fence trying to think of a back up before she noticed a small, no more than 3, group of Oris on the other side, in the fence were also a few runeboos and coatalas. She traced the fencing to a a building and walked towards it.

"Kip's Pet Palace?" she read out loud, she stared for a moment before deciding to knock; after all, the worst that could happen would be another no. She was met with a yellow gro with pink hair and what seemed to be a happy disposition.

"Hi, I'm Kip, how can I help you?" She greeted taking Mirage aback for a moment.

"Mirage, Uh, I was just wondering, do you sell pets here?"

"Sure do!"

"Great, follow up question, I saw you had some Oris, are any of them for sale by any chance?" Mirage bit her lip and crossed her fingers.

"Yup! They just arrived about a week ago so all three of them are available actually. Interested?"

Mirage released a breath she didn't even know she was holding and smiled. "Yes, I have been looking since morning for one but no one else seemed to have one for sale."

"Yes well, with every thing going on, more and more wyngrew are wanting to travel outside of wynsiph, and Ori back is usually a good way to go." Kip stepped away from the door and opened it further. "Would you like to come in and take a closer look at them?"

"That would be wonderful" Mirage replied stepping in and following Kip to the fenced yard.

"Careful with the gray one, she's young and a bit timid."

Mirage nodded in understanding and scanned the area. One of the Oris were running around, another was grazing and the aforementioned gray Ori was simply laying in the sun. Something about this one drew Mirage towards it and she slowly approached, sitting a good four feet away from the creature and admiring her speckling and blue blades.

"Hey girl." She cooed and clicked her tongue to grab her attention. The Ori lifted her head and stared at Mirage who had lifted a hand and stretched it towards her to allow the ori to sniff her. Mirage closed her eyes and let the Ori inspect her which involved a lot of sniffing and nudging before reluctantly sitting down, this time closer to Mirage, and pressing her head against the outstretched hand.

  Mirage softly chuckled and opened her eyes to stroke the Ori's head, "She's beautiful," she complimented

"yep, and once she trusts you, extremely friendly too."

"That's good, never really had much experience with raising Oris, Only read the books never put it into practice you know?"

"Completely understandable, In that case, she might be good for you then. She's by far the easiest Ori I've worked with."

"Friendly, easy to manage, extremely beautiful," Mirage listed quietly before the Ori stared at her; yellow orbs meeting Mirage's amber, and that's the last it took. "I'll take her!" She announced.

"Perfect, come inside and we can discuss payment and get her papers then I can set you up with a temporary saddle." Mirage did as told, and after about 15 minutes, walked away with 100 coins less, plus a file of papers which she put into her satchel.

She waited outside for Kip with a large grin, she didn't have to wait long as soon Kip was guiding the Ori, who now bore a plain brown saddle, out with a rope. The ori stood next to Mirage's side.

"Well, it's been a pleasure doing business with ya Mirage." Kip held her hand out.

"Likewise Ms. Kip." Mirage happily accepted it and shook Kip's hand

"One more question?" Kip said as she handed Mirage the rope.

"What would that be?

"You think of a name for her yet?"

Mirage pursed her lips and looked up at the Ori, "Yeah I have."

"Ooh, could I ask what it is?"

Mirage smiled and reached up to pet the Ori, "Her name is Zephyr."
