Description     Del would've woken with a start upon realizing she wasn't home if it weren't for the pounding in her head. She slowly lifted her head off the pillow and put a paw up to hold it. She didn't have much time to access the situation as there was a click a creak that filled the room. Del could only utter a soft noise of confusion as a small amount of light filled the room.

"Oh! You're awake." the voice was gentle, almost motherly like.

Del squinted at the figure, letting her eyes adjust. The darkness plus the head ache didn't help much as far details go, all she could see was a purple blur with what she assumed to be glowing eyes.

"Sorry, I was just gonna replace the rune behind you with a new one before calling it a night. How are you feeling?" the stranger put what she was holding down somewhere before grabbing the lamp from the hallway and bringing it into the room.

The quad let out a soft groan, adjusting herself on the bed to better face the older gro. "Where, how did I-" she cut herself off in favor of closing her eyes and blocking out the light that flooded the room. "W-where am I? How'd, how did I get here?" she asked after a few seconds.

The biped pulled up a chair and sat down before handing Del a glass of water. "I found you outside passed out in the storm. Didn't feel right to leave you out there so I brought you in here to my bedroom."

If it weren't for the fever Del was sure her face would've heated up in embarrassment. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stay out in that storm, let alone pass out in it." She took a sip, relishing the feeling of the cool water go down her throat.

"So what were you doing out there?"

    "I-I don't... I can't remember."

"That's okay, just tell me what you know."

That was a good question, part of her memories was hazy, and it took a bit of thinking for her to remember why she was out in the first place. She remembered leaving home easy enough, and walking around for while, she vaguely recalled when the storm had started and then chasing something soon after it did. Del looked around trying to remember more, only to recoil when a sharp pain shot through her head.

"I'm s-sorry," she winced, she took a shaky breath, "I can't, my head hurts too much."

The purple gro looked out the dark window and grabbed the old now fade rune before handing the new one to Del, "That's okay, its late and you should be resting anyway. we can try to figure out more in the morning okay?"

"Are you okay with me in your bed though?"

"More than fine, there's plenty of room for me to sleep in the living room, so you just get comfortable and rest."

Del looked at her skeptically, before shrugging it off, her body felt too sore to move much anyway, "I will, thank you." The purple gro turned to leave, grabbing the lamp and heading towards the door, Del moved to settle herself back onto the bed before pausing and looking at the other gro in the room. "Sorry, I just realized I never asked what your name was."

    "Oh, I'm Esmeree Orchid."

"Aridel, but you can just call me Del. Thank you for everything Miss Orchid."

"No problem at all." Essy responded before leaving the room and gently closing the door.

Del put the heat rune under her and laid her head next to it, the pain in her head making it easier to fall back to sleep. Something was nagging at her mind though.

"Esmeree... Where have I heard that name before?"
