Just a composure of some conversations I had with people.You say one thing, they leap to a (wrong) conclusion.Β
It's as ridiculous as them trying to tell which flavor of cereal YOU like.
or should like. lol Shut up. Go away. Don't tell the owner of this operating system what it does or doesn't like.
Just because I don't say much doesn't mean I'm insecure or afraid of what others will think. My mind just go blank around people. I have nothing to say to them. (Unless random jokes or superficial small talk. I can handle up to 4 minutes of mindless small talk with strangers. But after that, I just want to leave the room.)
Being an introvert is not "different" either. Many people are introverts. I don't mind conversations if it's meaningful or with company that I enjoy.Β
Still, even with company I enjoy. I'd desperately need my "me" time to recharge. Either indulge in a book, in a story, in a drawing, or drawing or climb a mountain, run on the treadmill. I need that solitude.
This lady, my acupuncturist for my hand was like "Recharge yourself? Well, if you were giving off positive and compassionate energy you would have endless energy to give instead of feeling drained by the end of the day."
Something about that angered me, I can't place my finger on it. I guess she's right partially.

I understand this pretty well i think I'm the kind of person where I'll interact but i don't think I've even survived more than 3 minutes of a conversation with a stranger
I've known myself to space out but it's usually because my mind is thinking of a million things, to have them shatter that noise I've grown used to just bugs me. I get the folks that say I need to get out more and interact, which i do when I can but often times all i want is my tea, my sketchbook and a nice spot to sketch
I have to commend you on being able to tolerate such things because I can't help but be impressed and want to try more to handle interacting with people

I hate when people jump to conclusions, in my head I'm like "Go away go away go away shut up! GOOOO AWAAAAAAAYYY! OMG! I'M GONNA PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE! Ok Slendy, Ninja turtles get ready to beat the crap out of this person while I run." But on the outside, I just sit there ignore them than walk away. X3 I'm so wierd.

An interesting book to read on this topic would be "Quiet - Susan Cain" I THINK that's the author's name..... but yeah it was an interesting read if you like books ^^

>_< I'm glad nobody really pays attention to me, though apparently I'm a teachers pet. My English teacher asked me if I was an introvert and I just kinda nodded before taking my fruit rollup and leaving.
I don't really like people that aren't relatively interesting. I make awkward cat noises at awkward moments, make pervy jokes, and eat all of the food in my house.
So yeah. This sums up my life. People can go sit on wet paint for all I care, I like my internet and food.

Also, you are a good anime artist. I used to draw too, when I was younger. I could copy characters like that verbatim, and make new ones. But, in recent years I got more interested in writing. I'm sort of the same way as you. Sometimes, I enjoy getting out and being social for a few hrs. But, most of the time I prefer to go off and do my own thing. I need re-charging too. I guess we're both kind of like laptops in a way. Do you have Autism? Because I do, and what you said reminds me so much of one of the main issues with that disability. Β

I get irritated by people like that too. I need a lot of time to recharge after prolonged interactions. So much so that people have stopped telling me when events are happening because they assume I don't feel like going. Which in itself is annoying when I actually feel like interacting
