My first time using gouache, a study done for one of my Illustration classes. Definitely a medium I'd like to use more in the future, it's so versatile!Referenced from a photo I took.

Exactly! It also is really good if you want to experiment with cell-shading, it can leave a really strong, smooth line.

It never occurred to me to use cellshading with traditional media, I definitely have to try that over the summer! Sounds like a really neat effect.

It turns out great, the only problem is the consistency, because if it's off when the paint dries there are lots of little holes. But if you can get it right it does look lovely, my art teacher had us paint gears and I fell in love.

I am waiting on word from a credit union about a loan. I can't take the final step and secure a place until I know I have $600 a month for two months to pay them for the summer. I may not be able to get the place I want due to how long this is taking. But there are other places nearby that will do.

Couple things to try...
Replace the battery
Plug it in to a different USB port (installs it again)
clean the surface you are using it on
Busy today... not sure if I'll have too much advice

I've tried all of those things...I even sometimes get the computer telling me that it doesn't recognize the usb device, or that it malfunctioned. I think the problem is with my usb receiver.
And take your time...I don't really need to be playing minecraft during finals, anyways. XD

I have my computer give me the exact same error before my mouse begins acting weird. And I was playing minecraft when it acted up, too. What a pain... especially if you fall into a pit full of skeletons.
Bear in mind that our mice are the same brand and like a model number apart (different receivers, I think, is the only difference).

That seemed to work, actually. All I had to do was remove the battery.
And that sucks, lol; but if that happens and you're not on hardcore (which I don't imagine you are lawl) just pause it real quick and set it to peaceful. It's not cheating if your mouse isn't working. XD

That is basically resetting or "EPROM-ming" the RAM... It sounds like a memory access issue, which tends to happen for USB for some reason. Worked for me, too.
I plan to do like a hardcore mode later with the tornado mod. Will be sort of like an EXTREME MODE.
BTW, Dad is co-signing a loan for me to use for an apartment tomorrow... might be able to go get something signed for us by Friday.

I've seen the mod before, but that's one of the best videos I've seen of it in action. None of the mod videos showed the tornados from the ground, those derps.

I have the mod present, but I choose to use MagicLoader to run the mod, since I don't want it present in ALL of my worlds. MagicLoader allows me to load the game with the mod without actually installing the mod into the game's code.
Currently, I don't have any worlds where I use it, since I've been spending so much time building a desert portal fortress in my main survival file.

You should post pictures of your builds. I have a tumblr where I post mc screenshots ( [link] ), maybe you can try that out yourself! Tumblr is fairly easy to use, and it's safe as long as you don't let it suck you in. Like I did.

The fortress is awaiting carpet and a tower to be completed... and likely some additional lighting, since I got ambushed by a skeleton in my portal room and a creeper in the bedroom (lolz). ^There will then be some landscaping, and after that, maybe some images.

One time I found two creepers and a zombie in a small room in my house. Definitely fixed the lighting up after that. XD

That bedroom had a water-skylight above part of it that went up like 40 feet, I would have been pissed if that creeper ruptured it D:<

Man, I just got slain by a band of skeletons in a desert. To add insult to injury, a creeper just walked up, and blew the fuck out of all my stuff. I lost 2 ender pearls, a diamond sword, all sorts of stuff. It was a dick move.
The good news is that yesterday I found 20 diamonds in my diamond mine, so I could easily replace the stuff. The only thing hurt is my pride.

It really is funny when you think about it. Anyways, I'm grinding up to level 50 and putting the top enchantment on my new diamond sword. 10 more levels...it's going to be badass.

I was making good headway on my fortress tower when the game just dies... I got pretty mad.
Now that I've gone and reconstructed it, I might make the tower itself resemble a giant creeper. It is a pretty cool place... it has a sublevel with rooms topped with a glass ceiling covered in water that drains from a small moat and from a central waterfall originating from the top of the tower itself (the waterfall travels down next to the ladder going up). The entry level gives direct access to nothing, but you can see pretty much everything from there through the water-covered glass floor. It will be surrounded by netherrack torches and a giant sandstone obelisk a short distance away.
You'll laugh when you think of all the sheep I have killed to make the carpet.
Also, I finally got cleared for the money for the apartment. But I'll have less than two hours of opportunity tomorrow to jump across and off campus, and try to secure a place.

Dude, you get more wool without killing the sheep, just make a pair of shears--2 iron ingots--and not only do you get 1 to 3 wools on shearing, the sheep can be sheared again. I'm laughing because of your pro noob-ness, not dead sheep. But yeah, that sounds awesome; I can't wait to see pictures. I'm trying to build a floating nether fortress myself.
Good luck with that; I just got a chance to snag my 75$ loan overpayment and deposit it, so I'll be able to buy a minecraft account this weekend. Servers and mods, here I come!

I should be getting my 300$ dorm deposit back after school ends. It's going to be sent home, which is a pain, but I do believe I should get it fairly soon. Will that work? Because I've been looking forward to getting this for ages, and went through the trouble to get the money just for this.
