personally, I was expecting a Meowth or a Sableye.

Unfortunately, letting others stay a night free out of the kindness of your heart doesn't exactly pay the bills. That's one thing I noted ever since the games started up Kengaskhan Inns. Pokemon frequent them but even during story important events rarely ever have to mention paying for a night in one of them.
Kengaskhans may be kind and generous in the PMD universe but unfortunately, profitable businesses do not work that way.
... I just realized how cynicalΒ this comment became. Didn't exactly intend it that way.
