Description
Name/s : Tamotsu Bao Meaning 'Guardian of Precious Treasure' ... Bao for short.Species : Chinese Guardian lion / Foo Dog / Shishi
About : Bao is a middle aged Foo dog who's spent most of his time standing guard at Ao Guang's palace. He got a promotion at one stage and his new role is to guard a very special pearl. Bao is overly cheerful most times, he used to be a grouchy shishi before he got given the pearl to guard. He likes to keep moving...and standing around the palace gates all day made Bao irritable. If you mention the pearl to him he will instantly hackle up and get suspicious.
Personality : Cheerful, Optimistic, Expressive, Protective.
Habits : Tends to drool when when sleeping. When he's nervous he'll extend the claws in is front paws and scritch at the ground.
Notes : Bao's front paws are those of a cat and his hind legs are those of a dragon. He has little silver bells strung throughout his mane, tail and elbow fluff. When he's angry his mane becomes static.
Finally! Another reference sheet! I need to start pumping them out ;A;
I had heaps of trouble trying to get Bao's colours to be 'just right'...I think I finally succeeded, I'm actually really happy with his design now c':

how can you have an ending planned out!? My stories never have endings they never even have plots that I'm satisfied with, the only things I tent to have clarified is the characters and relationships.

lol, thats more understandable to me, I'm always so jealous when people already have endings planned out. Out of all story elements endings and overarching plot I have the most difficulty with, what about you?

The dragon story has an ending but everything else needs to be arranged and organised then the web needs to be tightened.
The Shadow story (a concept that I have told Tessa about) is mostly sorted out, just need to tighten the web and make it more exciting.

Oddly I dont have trouble with beginnings (at school when we were forced to write stories I had trouble with beginnings. Not now) overarching plot is hell, I can come up with ones I deem 'decent' but never ones that I overly like and can get passionate about. With endings I go blank, any vague idea I get doesn't feel epic and cool enough 
What parts of the story come first for you? For me character-relatioships & characters, plus a vague feel for their world. I then build their world/environment more and further develop/change characters. It becomes a confusing mess when I try to develop beyond that XD
I have a lot of established and developing stories. The only one I can come close to calling complete is a daydream-story I had since I was 12

Yeah, the basic plot comes to me first...then the characters and their relationships with other characters.
I take forever trying to decide on the world /environment because I like stories to ring with reality, I'd like to base my stories in this world but I don't know enough about individual cities/towns/countrysides and I pull my hair out over it ;A;

For me a character, or char-relationships will pop up out of nowhere, I guess that goes hand in hand with a concept and at least one plot point. Then I build around that. Plot elements and events that happen start to come to mind but they never all connect in a smooth timeline

I have a some that are graphic and some human-acted, too lazy to ratio it out
your so lucky to have completed stories ;A; I doubt myself on whether or not I can even finish one. Even the daydream-story I had since I was 12 isn't fully complete, it's like Home and Away, it just goes on forever and it's only because I was a kid and didn't care about it being a good story that it got this far ;^; everything else (except the movie one) is less than 50% at least *sobs in corner*

oh! X'D like as in a book? I've often considered that format, it's still likely I'll choose it. But if I had a choice I'de want most of my stories in a comic book format. I don't feel I'm good enough to draw them at this stage, but I'm even less comfortable with my writing abilities /: theres some I want told in movie/tv-series format

Writing books does allure me because theres no need for illustrations X'D but writing isn't a habit, and every time I try I feel so clumsy and ignorant. It is something I want to improve at though, a good handful of my ideas would be well or better suited to a book format
