Named 'Deception' because of what you appear to see in the picture. It looks like the burn (stream) runs for miles into the distant hills, in fact the snow has removed land contours and what you see in the distance is a tree line, not the burn . The land goes downhill about three-quarters of the way up the image, then rises again much further back.
