A chance capture. Driving by in the car and saw the poppies and the gathering clouds and saw possibilities. Stopped and took a dozen or so shots and drove off again. Quick tweek in PS to darken the sky and increase the contrast on the poppies.Shot location: [link]

The pic is great in itself. But we should see in this the true meaning of the poppy this 11th hour of this 11th Day of the 11th Month. A stark reminder of why we remember those that have given their lives so we may do what we do best whether beautiful pics like this or other things. Thanks for the pic..

Yes, the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month - very poignant β very emotional day indeed.

But, albeit it would be controversial, it is maybe a day also to discuss matters like Afghanistan or pacifism... It would have been, anyway. Especialy in place like here, where the army of a country turned against the people, a minority, and so on..
