Description The Wayford Wren F.2 was a turboprop fighter aircraft fielded by the Tiperyn Royal Aero Service and Royal Armada Air Service from 1945 to 1961. The Wren was the culmination of Tiperyn's propeller combat aircraft, serving through the Kesh Wars before eventually being replaced by more powerful turbojet and turbofan aircraft.

The Wren featured a contra-rotating propeller powered by a Roiland Kite turboprop engine. It served concurrently with early turbojet, piston-driven and mixed-power aircraft designs, although the Wren had become the most prevalent in Tiperyn service by the time of the Kesh Wars. It was armed with two wing mounted 25mm cannons and four 9mm machine guns. It was well adapted to both land and seaborne operations, as the Royal Aero Service and Royal Armada Air Service have traditionally acquired aircraft through the same supply chain.

Interestingly, it looks like a Seafire 47 in part.

One thing however, there must be room for the exhaust pipe below the cockpit so the pilot avoids being fried.

Shows what would have happened if the turbojet had not been successful.
