animation for my design studio 3.this is a short 2d animation tittled"smile". the animation explores the emotional journey of a depresive teenage girl. this include metaphorical visual representations of her emotions and her attempts to end her suffering

I've been watching this non-stop all day and I wanted to get permission from you to perhaps write a poem, or short story, based on this short animation. I would of course give you credit and link to this work of art. So, would it be ok?

That was so sad, but so beautiful.
I can't lie, it did really creep me out a bit, but I got that feeling like I had to know what happened to her. It's so sad...but I think I can relate to feeling like that sometimes.

ZOMG! Elaine nice animation and great portfolio website. That thing creeped me out! I interpreted the red 'demon' as what she perceived herself as and was trying to hide it. The last scene really made me sad and want to help her

What I like about this is that you made it look as if she's one of those happy-go-lucky girls in pink, when the truth is, she is actually sufferin inside...

Some people seem to think this person in the mirror is how she sees herself, but it's more likely to be the depressed part inside of her. It's not like the thing in the mirror is noticeably ugly, but more like something that suffers.

One more word; outstanding scream! But I think the screaming is for sadness; depression isn't sadness ... it doesn't feel like it, so I would imagine the red dude either melting or peeling instead of screaming.

This is true, however, when people are depressed they want to scream because they want their voice to be heard and they just want to be noticed. I'm speaking from personal experience.

I have never felt depressed or had a problem with depression like I know some others struggle with, but you really bring the issue to light with this very brilliantly thought-out animation. Great job ^^

This is a beautiful animation you've created. I believe everyone whose experienced a depressive state can relate to your film. The colors fit the mood very well and the music was ever haunting throughout the whole story. The being inside, crying out for help, or that's the impression I get, keeps the view locked into the story, keeps us on the edge of our seats so to speak. I really enjoyed watching this
