With brow furrowed and lips pursed the Vastayan surveyed her surroundings. The sight wasn't all too unfamiliar, a bird's-eye view of the land over the tops of the trees was one she'd taken an innumerable amount of times. What was a new experience was the sense of vertigo that left her head swimming and the memory of the past few moments an incomprehensible blur.
Her eyes narrowed at what was in front of her as it came into focus. She'd pulled herself into a sitting position when she came to, sore legs not yet permitting her to stand. There was something between her feet, a doll or something. It was moving, squirming between her toes and the sole of one foot. She didn't move them, her foggy brain thought it actualy felt rather nice.
She shook her head of sich nonsensical thoughts. There were more important things right now; chief among them being piecing together what the hell just happened.
She and Rakan had been waiting in the tall brush, that's right. They were ambushing one of the human "mages" on his way through the woods. There was a struggle. A flash of light, she lost sight of Rakan, then she felt an overwhelming sensation of warmth, a stinging, constricting pain, and now...
Wait. Rakan, where was Rakan??

I was lucky enough to grab a couple of slots from and, given how I don't have many human(ish) characters and they only tend to do non-anthros, I decided to go with my favorite bird people~
But where is Rakan ??
