"Feels great to be outside again!" Star inhaled. Lily walked beside the alicorn saying, "It's been awhile since we've hung out together." Star folded her wings as she replied, "I know and I feel horrible about it! I've had so much work to do now that I'm older and my mother with her Princess training thing. It's a good thing I'm getting a break from home and Princess duties for awhile, even my mom admitted I needed some time to take off." "Which means its time to cook up a few new spells, don't you think?" Lily asked with a sly smile. "I've got a list of a few that came to me during some of my lessons." Star smiled holding up a checklist, "Besides hearing about my life, how are you doing Lily?" "You know me," Lily replied, "A little prank here and there, helping my folks at home, that sort of stuff." "Have you been getting any visits from home lately?" Star asked with a hint of tease in her tone. Lily smirked saying, "My mom has been taking very good care of Penelope each time she comes over to see Chance-I mean help out with my mom's animal sanctuary." The girls giggled over the shy hopeless romantics that are there friends.

"How about we head to Sugar Cube Corner to get started on those new spells?" Lily said. "We're just around-" Star started before the sound of Star's name filled the air. Both girls looked to the sound of the cry as a little filly came rushing to them. It was a little earth filly, with black silky hair. She had a bewildered look on her face as her eyes were wide from shock. "Princess Star!" the filly cried again as she came to a halt. "What is it?" Star asked looking down at the child. She was out of breath from running, taking a minute to catch her breath. Lilly floated above Star to keep out of the conversation. "I was at the edge of Ponyville," she started, "I was working on a project for school when I saw something." "What did you see?" she asked. "I-I saw....I saw..." she tried to say but was hyperventilating. Star placed a calming wing over the young girl saying, "Take a deep breath and breathe. You're safe here, you can tell me." Lily was becoming bored of this conversation as she leaned back to relax. Probably saw a bush move. she thought The edge of Ponyville is nothing but forest life that isn't the Everfree Forest. "At first I thought it was m-maybe a tiger or lion from the paw prints left on the floor." she started, "Th-Then I saw like a d-dragon tail and thought maybe it was a dragon." The filly paused to think as she continued, "I said hello to see who it is when I saw bright blue eyes peer from the bush. It-it was all so fast after that. Something pulled me from the ground to float above the ground slightly." Lily had her eyes closed as she scrunched up her face a little. Float? She thought as the girl continued, "I got scared as I floated closer to the bush and then I caught of glimps of a face. It looked like a pony or goat but the body wasn't the same!" Lily opened one eye in surprise Different body? "Before I knew it, everything magically went back to normal with chocolate milk in my hoof." she said pulling out a small glass of chocolate milk. "What?" Lily and Star said in unison. Lily lost focus as she fell on top of Star. "Sorry!" Lily said floating off of her. "I ran as fast as I can," she said, "I thought it was a monster and came to warn Queen Twilight." Star shook her head saying, "You don't half to worry about it, we'll go take a look to make sure Ponyville is safe." The filly sighed in relief. "Thank you Princess Star." The filly, satisfied by Star's reassurance, walked away to go back to her research.

Star looked up at Lily saying, "What happened with you?" Lily put a paw to her head, "I sort of lost focus on floating after what the filly said." "Let's go check it out real quick." Star said. "Let me help." Lily said, snapping her paw. They were quickly teleported from where they were at to the edge of Ponyville where the forest started. Star walked forward looking through a few bushes. "I don't see anything or anyone here." she deducted. Lily scanned the area as she caught the scent of the air. That's odd she thought I don't recognize the scent but somethign about it makes me feel odd. Did she really just admit that to herself? Shaking her head she decided to look through the bushes where the filly saw the creature, maybe it was still there. Lily poked her head through some bushes when something hit her lips. It felt sweet as she licked it off her lips. "Cotton Candy?" she said before looking down. There were footprints on the floor but different prints. One were pawprints while the other looked like a claw and hoofprint. It was confusing, no, it was chaotic. Sudden floating, different animal parts, cotton candy, chocolate milk.... Lily thought. A lingering thought came to mind as her swirly eyes glimmered. This wasn't a pony, dragon, nor lion, what if it was a draconequus?.....
