Tired hooves walked across the cool grass. Lily was at the head of the group as she narrowed her gaze. The sun was just beginning to rise as the stars began to dissapear into the light one by one. Looking behind her she could see her friends, eyes drooping and circles under their eyes. Pumpkin let his sister lay on his back as Pomme had her eyes shut with her head rested on Velvet to guide her way. Star drew in a deep breath as she went next to Lily saying, "Seems that this is a good place to rest?" Scanning the area, she spotted a cave not to far from where they were standing. "Let's reach the cave before settling." Lily replied. When they reached the cave everyone let out a collective sigh. Pumpkin gently nudged Cinnamon as she slowly opened her eyes. "Oh are we there yet?" she asked with a huge yawn. "Nah, we're going to rest here until nightfall again." Pumpkin replied. "Funny how we're going to bed when it's the morning time now." Bolt joked lightly. "We're becoming nocturnal." Velvet muttered. "Come on, let's get some rest." Pomme said with a flick of her tail. Chance used his magic to give his friends blankets and pillows while Lily provided food. Once everyone was settled and comfortable, it wasn't long before the young adults drifted to sleep.

Star jolted awake. Her friends were still sleeping as she quietly got to her hooves. Heading to the entrance of the cave she gazed out across the horizon. It was a wonderful sight. That's when she looked up to see Lily mounted on a cotton candy cloud. She was looking to the skies as the sun was setting. She flew to her as she flapped her wings to stay in place. "Did you get enough sleep?" Star asked. "We half to keep moving." Lily replied. "You need rest to you know." "We're getting close to finding something," Lily said, "I can feel it deep down." "Lily," Star said, "We've been at this for almost a month now, maybe its time we regroup?" "Star if you and the others want to head back, than you can." Lily said calmly, "But I'm still looking." Star tilted her head as she went in front of Lily. "Lily," Star said, "We're just worried. about you." "Star, I just-" Lily began before they heard their names being called. Looking down they found everyone up to their hooves. "What are y'all doin up there?" Pomme called. "Yeah, we got to make a move on if we want to cover more ground today." Velvet said. The two girls looked at one another before making their way back down to their friends.

It was finally midnight as the 8 friends made their way through the night. Lily led them with confidence and a determined glare. Cinnamon and Pumpkin were trying to tell the best jokes to each other, so far, Pumpkin was in the lead. "Alright I got this," Cinnamon said, "What do you call a bush that's in a hurry?" "I know this one!" Pumpkin said turning to her, "You call it a-" he stopped mid-sentence when he spotted something. Right above his sister, a narrowed blue eyes peered. "C-C-Cinamon." he said shakily. "What?" "It's a-a-a whoosh!" Pumpkin fumbled. Looking behind her there was nothing there as she scowled, "You ruined the punchline! That gives me automatic points." "But-" Pumpkin started before something muffled his voice. Pomme felt her hat being gently lifted up as she said, "Bolt, you don't want me to get ya with my ember now do ya?" "What?" Bolt asked as he messed with his hair. Suddenly the hat was forced onto her head as Pomme huffed. "Really?" she snapped. "What?" Bolt said, "I didn't-" That's when he suddenly fell on top of Pomme and Star. "Bolt!" they said. Helping him up Star said, "Quit messing around." "But I wasn't!" he said. "Let's try to not pick at each others nerves?" Chance suggested. "My wings aren't letting me fly!" Bolt explained. "Great excuse." Star said to herself. "Look guys," Lily turned to them, "Let's try and keep it together, we're so close." "Are we really?" Velvet asked, "Face it, we're lost." "Come on you guys let's not fight," Chance said. "I know where we are." Lily protested. "Really, cause it look like you don't know where we're going." Velvet lashed, "I think it's time we go back and just maybe get some help." "You can go, but I'm still going forward." Lily said with a wave of her paw. "Look around you Lily," Velvet pointed, "We have no idea what we're doing." "Okay, let's not get at each other's throats now." Star said coming between the two, "Lily, we're just trying to help because we're concerned is all."

Lily had her back turned. She looked out into the horizon with misty eyes. That's when she felt the tugging in her heart, the feeling of missing her parents, home, but most of all, that she failed her what she was starting believe herself now, an impossible quest. That's when she felt the embrace of her friends, giving her a group hug. Pulling back to look at them she said, "You guys are right, we need to refocus." Star put a hoof to her saying, "We're all here for you." Lily smiled at her friends as she started, "Okay let's-" Suddenly a great wind came over the friends. "Hey, why is the wind so strong?" Pomme asked holding onto her hat. "I don't know," Star said, "Lily. Chacne. Can you tame it with your magic?" Just before they could give it a try, the wind circled the group of friends as they all held onto one another. Many whispers surrounded them as flashes of images would come and go. Lily took in a deep bretan before standing her ground and letting out a cry. And in an instance, the wind went away. Looking to Lily, they all started to smile a little until Cinnamon pointed out, "You guys do know we're going to plumet down this large mountain side that the wind carried us to as soon as everyone looks down, right?" Everyone, sure enough, look below them to find that the ground was indeed no longer below them. Of course with that being said, they started to fall. Letting out cries, Bolt tried to fly to catch himself but for whatever reason, something was preventing him to actually fly! The same went for Star and even something was blocking out Chance and Lily's magic! "WEEE!" Cinnamon cried. "That's your sister." Velvet said to Pumpkin. "To which I take great pride in." Pumpkin smirked before the two boys let out a cry and held onto one another. "We're going to make impact soon!" Star cried. "I can't look." Chance gulped covering his eyes. Lily continued to snap her paws together to try and spark her chaos magic. CLosing her eyes and focusing, she snapped her fingers just in time. When she opened her eyes, she was sitting in the middle of what looked like the woods. Looking around she called, "Guys! Anyone!" "Lily!" cme a reply. "Is everyone okay?" she called out. "We're safe." they eahc replied in various places in the forest. "Let's meet up with one another." came Star's voice. "I'll be the marker." Chance called as he used his chaos magic to summon a light ray. Lily shook her pelt as she spotted the light beam. Just as she was going to walk that way, is when something swished in the bushes. She was going to ignore it before she felt an impulse wash over her as a destinct scent filled the air. "I know that scent," she said thoughtfully she smelled it the day the filly freaked out. Looking at the light source and the direction to where she heard the swoosh, she decided to follow the noise.....
