@@ i read somewhere that if he fully knew how to use his powers he could set the kenetic energy of anything and anyone to explode with just a thought... i dont know if this is true tho, i think using touch is much better ^^

I just have to ask, why is his hair purple-y-black-ish and not it's usual brown? Or is that supposed to be a lighting thing from the glow of his card?

Origins? No it's the second newest movie. Though you only see him for a short time since it's the story of wolverines life

Originally Gambit went to Mister Sinister for help because he couldn't control his powers. Instead of being able to charge the kinetic energy of an inanimate object by touching it, he could tap into it with his mind from a distance. Mister Sinister took out a small piece of Gambit's brain to tone down his powers so that he could control them.
Of course nothing comes for free with Mister Sinister and Gambit had to lead the Marauders to the Morlock tunnels where they killed almost of all of the Morlocks.
The X-men found out and Gambit was kicked out of the X-men. During this time he started working for "New Sun". It was then revealed that New Sun was actually Gambit from an alternate reality whose powers flaired out of control and the universe was destroyed so he went around destroying alternate versions of himself so that did not happen.
Some how Gambit and another X-man wound up back in time where an earlier version of Mister Sinister was able to put Gambit's powers back up to what they were and Gambit actually used them to travel forward in time to his own time and he defeated New Sun, but burned through those powers and was back to what he could originally do.
Then at another point in time him and Rogue were depowered and Blink used her power to jump start their powers. Gambit then blinded himself when charging a card as his poweres weren't completely controllable or something like that. Since then Gambit can see again although it is unclear if his vision came back or if he's used his powers to get his eyes to work.
Then he joined Apocalypse and became the Horseman of death and could emit a noxious gas, and could also create that gas from nowhere, like in someone's lungs for example. Then he disappeared and now he's back as normal Gambit although it has not been explained as to what happened and why he isn't the Horseman of death.
Not to mention he has slight mind control exhibited through his charm and incredibly agile.
Hell of a guy, that Gambit.

what i like the most about him is hes quite mysterious, Storm seems to trust him tho, and i like his relationship with Rogue, they always were such a cute couple, yeah he is one hell of guy ^^

Of course Storm trusts him, in his first appearence he saved her from the Shadow King. A comic which I just so happen to own.

haha yeah, it's possible for him to blow things up just by thinking about it when he's got his full powers. Alternate dimensions have been destroyed because of that dimension's Gambit's powers! >_> It's safe to assume he's one of the strongest, if not THE strongest Mutant in the universe. I think it's kind of cool.
