Description
After a long show in Alabama, Anita is happy to be the fuck out of southern heat and Fame is back to his favorite activity: harrassing cows.Reference was pulled from google.
"Easy, easy, thunder-butt."
But Fame was not taking it easy. When he'd caught site of the distant cattle pen, his ears and tail had shot straight up, his walk becoming a dancing trot. By the time they were in the corral, the buckskin was visibly trembling.
That's what happens when you keep a cow pony away from his job for two weeks. Anita thought, giving him a good, firm stroke along his golden neck. One ear swiveled towards her, the other firmly on the scattering calves. "Alright, boy. Pick one."
Fame took very little time to select his victim. He sliced through the thick of the herd, angling himself in such a way that the largest of the young steers quickly found himself isolated. It tried first to skirt around him, ducking left and then right, growing more alarmed each time the stallion moved to block his path. When Anita saw its eyes rim with panic, she put her hand down. The calf lunged to the left, and she could feel Fame work under her, drawing back over his hocks, spinning to cut the animal off. The cow paused, took a hesitant step forward, calculating. The stallion in turn sunk low to the ground, almost crouching, anticipating, every muscle in his body ready to spring.
"Good to be home." Anita laughed.
A second later, cow and horse were off again in a spray of dirt.

Really?? They're not too different from horses, I don't think... at least, I draw them as really fat little ponies with dished faces and silly ears. XD <3

Legs are hard for me on horses and cows and... everything. They are just really not my friend. With the butts, just pretend it's a really, really fat quarter horse rump Or a really beefy halter quarter horse.
And omg! That is incredibly sweet of you, thank you so much!

Best way to learn anatomy (in my opinion): take a very basic stock photo of the animal just standing, desaturate it completely and paint what you see in grayscale. It helps a lot with learning muscles, skeletal structure, etc. :3
