Of Pirates and AssassinsPirate!England X Assassin!Reader
Arthur awoke the next morning to the sharp sound of the wooden door to the cabin being slammed open, the sound causing an excruciating pain to blare up in his head. The morning light flowing in through the two small windows doing nothing to aid his now throbbing forehead. He let out a loud groan before stuffing his head under his pillow in attempts to subdue the pain and block out the malevolent rays of sunlight that sent waves of agony coursing through his head from their intensity.
Through the throbbing pain reverberating through his skull, he could make out the distinct snickers of the two red headed devils that he so utterly despised. Soft footsteps made their way towards him and before he could even register what was happening, his silken sheets were yanked off of him and his plush pillow removed from his grasp simultaneously. He let out a startled yelp that was met with more snickering.
"Well look at what we got 'ere brother dear," Rory said in a sing song tone sending more pain drilling through Arthur's skull from his obnoxious voice. He threw the sheets he had pulled away off to the side and stared at Arthur's pathetic curled up form on bed.
"Looks like our plan failed after all and after all that panning we went through too." Dylan said with a pout on his face. He sighed and dropped the pillow to the floor.
"There's only so much we can do for ya wee brother," Rory sighed, grabbing Arthur by his forearm and hauling him up into a sitting position despite the ample groans of protest he was emitting.
"'ere drink this. Ought to 'elp that nasty hang over o' yours," Dylan came up and handed Arthur a glass of water, which he had been carrying since entering the room. Arthur shakily grabbed the glass and gulped down the contents greedily before handing it back to Dylan.
"All you had to do was tell 'er is that so 'ard now?" Rory complained grumbling at his brother's obvious failure at admitting his feelings to you.
"You couldn't even manage to do it with the 'elp o' some liquid courage," Dylan criticized letting out an irritated sigh.
"What the bloody hell are you two gits going on about now?" Arthur grumbled rubbing his forehead from the still present, but more tolerable, pain bouncing around in his head. He stared tiredly back and forth between the two twins waiting for some form of explanation for their ramblings.
"What all exactly do you remember from last night?" Rory asked in a mischievous tone, a smirk creeping onto his lips.
For a second Arthur sat frozen. What had happened last night? He recalled his stupid brothers egging him on and finally giving into them. Everything else after that was a blur.
He furrowed his bushy eyebrows together in contemplation, trying to think despite his raging headache. After a while he had finally decided to call it a night and rather ungracefully stumbled back to his cabin where he came upon (y/n) and grabbed her, pinning her against the door before....
His eyes widened and a deep crimson enveloped his cheeks as he finally recalled the events of the previous night. Dylan and Rory looked at him expectantly as if waiting for him to realize something.
"I...I...," Arthur stuttered he shakily drew in a breath and raked a hand through his messy blond hair. "I kissed her. I kissed (y/n)," he whispered with a tone of disbelief.
"Anything else?" Dylan prodded with an air of nonchalance, looking away from Arthur and toward one of the many shelves that lined the room.
"No...I fell asleep after that," Arthur admitted quietly looking down towards his lap. He was embarrassed from his drunken actions and ungentlemanly behavior towards you, however he couldn't find it in himself to feel the least bit sorry.
He truly did love you and wanted nothing more than for you to be his and just hold you in his arms. It drove him crazy when his brothers would flirt with you, making him want to storm up to the two devils and beat the living daylights out of them. He had never felt this way before about anyone and was scared you would simple laugh at him for his feelings and reject him. The thought of it alone tugged at his heart and left a pain in his chest far greater than any hangover could ever produce.
Rory and Dylan noticed the anguished and defeated look on their brother's face and couldn't help but feel a drop of sympathy for the poor lad.
"Look, Arthur," Rory began with a sigh, his voice carrying a serious tone rare for the red head.
"We know you have feelings for 'er and that yer scared she won't accept you," Dylan continued, moving to sit on the edge of the bed, "but believe me when I tell ya that you have nothing to fear," he gave Arthur's shoulder an encouraging pat, "The answer just may surprise you," Arthur's head shot up, a slightly confused yet skeptical expression held on his face.
"What do you mean?" he inquired with a guarded tone. The serious atmosphere the two suddenly acquired had taken him by surprised, but the implications of his brother's words lit a spark of hope in the Brit. However he narrowed his eyes at the twins and gave them a critical look. He was still a bit suspicious of them as he wouldn't put it past the two to mess with him like this, but if they were being genuine with him then that had to mean...
Rory could see the confliction within him and shook his head back and forth, letting out a small chuckle while doing so. He smirked at him before turning around and heading towards the cabin door. Taking hold of the golden handle he opened the door and stepped to the side sweeping his hand out in a gesture signaling him to walk through.
"Why don't you just go find out for yourself?"
Arthur stared dumbfounded at Rory and the open door. A wave of courage flooded over him as he shot out of the bed, ignoring the slight pain still present in his forehead and grabbed his scarlet coat hanging from the chair. With a determined glint in his eyes he threw it on and strode past Rory and out the door leaving two red heads with large grins on their faces extremely satisfied with themselves and their work.

The fresh smell of the sea hit you right on as Jasper pulled you out onto the deck. The crew was busy running around doing their jobs, being overseen by a rather grumpy and tired looking Allistor. You were on the deck for less than ten seconds before an energetic Peter nearly tackled Jasper to the ground. Jasper let out a yelp as he nearly fell over before laughing and giving him a pat on the head.
You chuckled at their antics and shook your head. Your gaze returned to wandering the deck for anything of interest when it landed on a somber Sam, leaning against the ornate wooden railing staring aimlessly out into the sea. Your smile was replaced with a frown at the sight of her in such a state.
"Hey Jasper," you said, not taking your eyes off of Sam, "Why don't you and Peter go play a game? There's some things I need to take care of on deck real fast," Jasper gave you a confused look before following your gaze and seeing the source of your concern. He gave a nod of understanding and ushered Peter off somewhere else to play.
Dodging crew members busily running about their morning routine, you made your way over to Sam and leaned against the railing next to her. Tuning out the clamboring noise of men shouting in the background, you observed the deep blue waves in a comfortable silence. She glanced at you for a moment before returning her gaze back to the sea.
"So," you finally spoke up after a few minutes of peaceful observation had passed, "I heard about your little victory over my brother last night. Congratulation," you looked over towards her as she gave a small chuckle. "I thought you would still be sleeping after such a hard fought battle like I'm sure he is," you said teasingly.
"Da I was, but unlike your wimpy brother hangovers don't affect me very much. I can be up and running in no time," you both let out a chuckle as a small smile graced her features. As quick as it came though, it vanished. Sam looked down and heaved a heavy sigh, suddenly finding the railing very interesting.
"You know," she said in a small voice, "I'm rather envious of you. I really miss him you know. We all use to be so happy together and he was always so protective of us just like that white haired arrogant brother of yours," her gaze never left the railing as she spoke in a somber tone. Her words brought a frown back to your face and effectively silenced you.
You knew she suffered a great deal of pain from the whole ordeal with Ivan, far surpassing your own. Ivan was a great friend to you and losing him was difficult, but you could hardly imagine how Sam felt. You were thankful you had Ludwig and Gilbert there for you and losing either one of them the way she lost Ivan would tear your heart to pieces. You were once more broken from your thoughts by her soft tone.
"You know I still think there is some good in him. Maybe we could try talking some sense into him. Right after I bash in the skulls of those bastards who poisoned his mind da?" her voice held hope and she seemed to brighten up a bit at the prospect of saving her brother and getting revenge. You remained silent as she continued babbling on about different plans and possibilities.
As much as you wished to, you couldn't share her hopeful optimism. She had merely heard tales of his ruthlessness and violent ways. She wasn't there throughout the multiple times you had encountered him since he left to join the Winter Syndicate. She hadn't seen the sheer bloodlust and insanity held in his violet orbs or heard his constant dark mutterings. She hadn't seen how truly far gone he was.
You had tried multiple times to talk some sense into him with little to show for it. Only you ever received any form of substantial injury since you refused to accept the truth and kill him though he was hell bent on killing you. However, you feared if you were to encounter him again, you would be left with no option but to try and end his life. Your heart grew heavy at the thought and a lump got caught in your throat. Sam's hopeful ramblings trailed off as she noticed the grim look on your face.
"Those are all petty day dreams da?" she practically whispered, "You're going to kill him aren't you?" you turned away from her at the question and opted to remain silent, that was the truth of the matter after all. As much as it pained you it had to be done. She let out a mirthless laugh at your silent confirmation.
"Please, just promise me one thing," You looked up to meet her grim violet eyes, "If you really can't find a way to bring my brother back to me then you will finally put an end to all of this because right now that is not my brother. That is a demon wearing his face," you stared at her for a moment before nodding your head and whispering your response.
"I promise."

Thanks so much! Oh and as for advice DO ALL THE HARD STUFF NOW. Take the hard classes and all the extra stuff you can now so you don't have to worry about it as much once you become a senior. Ninth and tenth grade (at least based on my experience) is the time to get all your work done while you have the motivation because once you become a senior, you start to not give a shit about anything. I took my hard classes in the tenth and ninth grade then eased up a bit eleventh then just cruised through twelfth because I had already gotten a majority of my credits so I got to take a ton of elective classes. But hey, just find out what works best for you and roll with it everyone learns and operates differently in school figuring out how you work best is probably the easiest way to make it through alive!
