Sam flashed you a tiny smile of thanks before turning and heading off to who knows where. You watched her walk away before redirecting your attention to the crashing waves below you, a frown etched on your face. You closed your eyes and tried to clear your mind of all the negative thoughts swirling around it like a raging sea during a mighty storm. Taking a deep breath of the ocean air you leaned against the wooden railing lazily, enjoying the wind running through your hair and blowing gentle at your face.

You remained glued to that spot for a while, taking pleasure in your surrounding and letting your thoughts flow. You were so caught up in your own little world that you didn't even notice when a certain someone quickly approached you from behind and reached out to touch your shoulder. Startled, you sprung up and whirled around only to find yourself face to face with Arthur.

"(y/n), I need to speak with you, now preferably," Arthur spoke with a determined glint in his eye and a slight tint to his cheeks. You had gotten so caught up in old memories with Sam, you nearly forgot about the events of last night. You needed closure and to know if he felt the same enthralling feeling in his chest when he was around you as you did around him. You looked up with large, (e/c) eyes nodding shyly before looking to the ground trying to hide the noticeable red color that was taking over your cheeks.

Arthur had to bite his bottom lip and clench his fists together to resist the urge to hug you closely after such a cute act. After all, he didn't want to act to brash before he even found out if you returned his feelings, especially after his behavior the prior night. "Why don't we go back to the cabin to talk?" he nearly stuttered out, looking around to spot a few prying eyes of the crew who quickly turned away as he did so. Boldly, he reached out and grabbed your small hand with his, enveloping it in warmth. You could only stare at your entwined hands while he dragged you across the busy deck back towards your quarters.

He let go of your hand and opened the door, raising his arm and gesturing for you to enter before him. You walked ahead, slightly disappointed that he released your hand. Closing the door gently behind him once you both entered, Arthur quickly surveyed the room, ensuring that a certain pair of red headed devils weren't currently spying on the two of you. With his back turned to you, he took a deep breath trying to quell the thoughts racing through his head and the gut wrenching feeling he had in the pit of his stomach.

You looked at him expectantly, Jasper's words suddenly appearing in your head. You knew this was about what occurred between you two last night, you just hoped Jasper was right, if not you could always play it off as no big deal and that it didn't mean anything to you either. Never would there be a greater lie than that. Your heart was beating rapidly now and you could hardly keep still, the anticipation of his words nearly killing you.

After a minute of standing there in deafening silence, Arthur finally found the courage to turn and face you.

"(y/n), about what happened last night..." he began nervously, eyes darting around the room as he ran a hand through his messy blond locks, "I wanted you to know that everything I did that night I meant and would gladly do again and more if you so let me, in fact it would mean the world to me if you felt the same," he said with a nervous chuckle, his bright emerald eyes resting their gaze on your face in attempts to gauge your reaction.

Upon seeing no change in your expression Arthur sighed and looked towards the floor grimly. "I deeply apologize if you do not return these feeling, I understand if-" you didn't allow him to finish. In one swift movement you tackled him to the ground, producing a loud thud, and pinned him in place by his shoulders before leaning down and kissing him deeply.

His eyes nearly bulged out of his head at your very sudden, but not at all unappreciated response. Gladly giving in to your affection, his eyes slid shut and he kissed back with just as much passion as you. You slowly released your hold on his shoulders and he instantly took the chance to wrap his arms around you in a warm embrace, cradling the back of your head as the kiss continued at a gentler pace.

Finally, after the need for a little thing called air decided to interrupt you, you forced yourself to pull away from Arthur's soft lips, leaving both of you panting heavily. He stared gently into your beautiful (e/c) eyes, bringing up his hand and softly brushing your flushed cheek with the back of it. For once he appeared rather peaceful, simply laying on the floor enjoying the moment. He was relieved that you felt the same way.

With a contented sigh you rested your head on his chest, one of his hands coming up to calmly stroke your silky hair while the other held you delicately around the waist. The two of you layed like this unmoving on the hard wooden floor for what felt like an eternity.

You could feel yourself begin to drift off listening to the rhythmic beat of Arthur's heart and feeling the warmth of his body. Feeling you snuggle further into his chest he let out a soft chuckle before kissing the top of your head.

"I love you (y/n)."

"I love you to Arthur."
