Personality: Illarion is a very quiet man from the very beginning, being from a Crimea, and speaking no Spanish, English or French, Illarion struggles with speaking and simply chooses to act mute. He tends to say small English words or simple Spanish phrases. He’s a little bit afraid of speaking because he doesn’t want to come across as an idiot. If he really needs to speak, he’ll talk, but he will use some Russian words and he may butcher some English words.
He tends to smile a lot and just sit there and nod when people talk to him. Honestly he has no clue what you’re saying most of the time. Illarion if a soft natured man and he will obey almost any order he gets unless he truly disagrees. He finds violence unnecessary most of the time, and he tends to try to break it up. He will do his best to keep everyone in an okay mood or he will leave to his cabin and stay there till he’s needed.

Biography: Born right by the shores of the Black Sea, Illarion was actually a son of a lumberjack and a baker along with a little sister, nothing fancy, and nothing large. They had a small house by the sea where his mother owned a bakery, but Illarion never learnt how to bake. From the very early childhood, Ilarion’d be taken to the forest with his father to collect wood for building, selling, and fire. That had become his job from the age of 4. As he grew, his job changed, for collecting twigs, to pulling smaller logs to the wagon, to cutting the smaller logs, and finally to chopping down trees and logs on his own. Though Illarion’s body never actually showed any strength, he was fairly strong for his age, much stronger than he looked.
He had gotten himself into trouble after ships started sailing into the Black Sea. At one point, he snuck onto one of the ships and stole a fair amount of gun powder just to toy around with it. As he grew into a teenager, he got very interested in fireworks because of a merchant that visited the area. From that point on, Illarion had been experimenting with pouches of gun powder, confetti and anything else he can find. Though his fireworks are nothing extremely fancy, he’s still testing things at the age of 23.
Once Illarion reached the age of 17, his father fell sick with an unknown sickness. With no doctor or medic around, Illarion was left on his own to try and cure his father. Not knowing anything at all about medicine, Illarion of course failed to save his father. Now that his father was gone, and Illarion’s mother was having a breakdown, he promised her and himself that he’d find a cure in respect to his late father. After that, he dedicated the next 4 years to medicine. There is not much he could find, but he kept some of the old medical treatment theories. He began to travel around, curing minor illnesses like the flu, and finally he got invited on board of a Spanish ship that took him to Spain. Before he left, Illarion was given his father’s poleaxe and his sister gave him her handmade bracelet for good luck. His mission on the ship was to keep everyone healthy, which was no easy task. With no one sick from the start, Illarion wanted to prevent any common flues, and with that he forced everyone to breath in the scent of the jarred garlic. Most people were confused by this motion, but they followed the rule nonetheless. With that trip being a success, the word quickly spread and Illarion was paid a good amount by the townspeople. He stayed at the inn by the dock until he ran into Raul who seemed to have heard about the successful trips Illarion had, and invited him to join the crew.
