Description
"These two quadrupedal beasts share remarkable physical similarities that are, in my eyes, evidence of some deeper connection - indeed, the two creatures appear nearly identical at first glance. However, upon further examination, it is obvious to the observer that there are fundamental physical differences, possibly due to the result of magical experimentation.""The larger Wolfos is both stronger and larger, and in the possession of longer teeth and claws, and bears the definite hallmark of the influence of magical augmentation. Indeed, most Wolfos display an almost artificially aggressive and cruel demeanor, they appear to deliberately seek out violence, and many notorious individuals are proven man eaters. It is my thought that these malevolent beasts were deliberate creations, rather than the result of natural evolution. I base my theory largely because reference of Wolfos does not occur in Hyrulean record until shortly after the fall of Carock. Perhaps these beasts originated as a mere truculent creation from the evil wizard's twisted mind, though for what greater purpose I cannot fathom."
"The smaller Wolf is a remarkable creature - capable, as I have learned, of shapeshifting into a form nearly undistinguishable from a human. This ability appears to be a natural trait. Contemporary record of Wolves has been largely hearsay - coincidentally their reference in official record sharply declined after the fall of Carock - and indeed they were, until recently, thought to be completely extinct (or in some cases, a myth). The sudden near total absence of these beasts from Hyrule in recent times is still a great mystery, though of course their natural abilities make them difficult to effectively track. However, I am happy to report that these beasts are not gone, having recently been afforded the opportunity to interact with and observe several individuals. Wolves are smaller in frame, though no less cunning, than Wolfos. Although they lack their larger counterparts' heightened aggressive demeanor, they are still quite effective predators. They are rather furtive creatures on the whole, and prone to elusiveness, though the individuals I have encountered were intelligent and generally reasonable. Whether Wolves be a largely benevolent, malevolent, or neutral creature still remains to be seen."

I love coming up with these kind of 'bestiary' entries - it's like getting worldbuilding and backstory and biology all in one delicious bite. I used the Twilight Princess font here, so yes, those words on the page actually are readable, though I can't be responsible for any spelling mistakes.
Somewhere I'd read that Wolf Link's fur was supposed to be a slight reference to the Wolfos from OOT, so I tried to evoke that a little bit here.
(and for those of you who've read An Act to Follow, now you know how Veneer knew what he was dealing with after seeing those paw prints...)

The description on wolves reminds me of Wolf's Rain for some reason where wolves take human form there as well

You should write a fanfiction just for these entries.

Very nice artwork!
Does the "shapeshifting wolves" thing explain the artwork of Marcus in humanoid form, and is An Act to Follow a fanfic that you've published elsewhere?

Thank you very much!
Yep, that pretty much explains Marcus, though he's really more of an original side story. An Act to Follow can be found here
