Description Vyle (from "And Stay Down"), sketch commission by IDKURA. Hm, I thought I told him to make her tail on fire...oh well, you've all seen it on fire anyway.

Let's Wikiattack!...oh no wait, I made this character up. OK then...

Vyle is a servant of the female demon lord Saera and is recognizable by her black face mask and curly blonde hair. It is believed that she was originally the plague-stricken daughter of a corrupt town official who turned the girl over to visiting flaemes simply to be rid of his sickly child. No human has seen all of Vyle's face without her mask, but rumors abound that she is either horribly scarred or incredibly beautiful. Some think her name comes from what must lie beneath the mask, others assume she earned it because of the unusually sick stench of her smoke and flames.

Smacky recently battled Vyle, defeating her with a mighty punch and obtaining a glowing key the demoness had been carrying. However, Smacky was not aware that the key had a more important function than merely opening a door; it was what is known as a 'summoning relic'. When demon lords are summoned from the underworld by powerful necromancers, the magic that binds them to this world must be contained in an object. If the demon lord is to be sent back to where they came, the object must be fixed to a weapon and the demon struck with it (which is why most summoning relics are very small, such as jewels, cloth, or other baubles). In the demon lord Saera's case, her summoning relic was a key; the one that her servant Vyle was to keep safe for her. Upon the loss of the key, Saera punished Vyle horribly, including demoting her to a flaeme and making her vulnerable once again to common weapons. To earn her immortality back, Vyle must retrieve the key from Smacky before the heroine discovers exactly what the key's power is and uses it to destroy Saera for good...or perhaps the tiny shred of humanity that remains in her will instead lead this tragic figure to a different destiny.
