After a year and a half, Smacky returns in a new pic I hope you'll like! This took about two weeks and my workflow was very sloppy; I couldn't get any strategic lighting setup to work and ended up just going with an HDRI and a ton of postwork. I guess making art is never going to get any easier or predictable for me, so I might as well go big when I actually get around to make something.

This was originally going to just be Smacky and the center demoness, then I decided to make it into another faux comic cover, then I added the other two demonesses, and at the last minute, I felt it looked too crowded as a comic cover and put it through more postwork to hopefully give it a more fantasy illustrated feel.

Genesis 3 figures and a lot of assorted DAZ fantasy skimpywear, rendered in DAZ Studio 4.11 (props to the team for fixing the camera glitch, that contributed a lot to my year and a half absence). Very long time watchers of my art might recognize Smacky's basic pose. Thank you very much for your patience and I look forward to your comments as always!

(oh and FYI, nothing sexual is going on here. I went through a bit of a storm after posting this on Facebook and it was removed from DAZ's gallery. I know it looks like it could be raunchy, but that was never my intention. My intention was a victory scene immediately after Smacky finished off the last of three demonesses, that's it).

Since I'll probably never get around to illustrating Smacky's full story or writing anything of any substance explaining it, I'll give away a few of the little secrets and background stuff that I've imagined for her.

Sahmika has a deep connection to fae because she actually is one; she's one of six common fae that were given human form by the fae elders in order to one day battle the returning flaemes (who returned almost entirely because men sought them out). Not all of the the six children grew up to be fighters like Sahmika - one other did though, but that's a secret for another time - but they all have the same potential abilities. It's the fae energy within Sahmika that allow her to fight the demoness so effectively; their powers flowing through her fists or blades to punish the succubus fiends as if they were mortal, where even the mightiest man would barely stand a chance against them.

Vaene knows that Sahmika is a fae child, she could smell it on her when they briefly meet at the port of Ronail the day before the new king's coronation and thereafter sent three of her minons to test the young fighter that night. Neither Sahmika's father or Eri know anything about fae children until much later in the story.

Why are almost all, if not all demonesses white (or asian)? Storywise: it's because the members of a demon harem tend to resemble their leader. Truth: because they better contrast artistically with a darker heroine. If everyone in a scene were all white or all black, it would be less aesthetically pleasing than one with a combination of skin tones. It's the same basic reason why the demonesses are more curvy and voluptuous than the more muscular Sahmika, it's for contrast and variety. I won't rule out an Arabic, Hispanic, or even black demoness at some point though, but it will depend on the scene they're in and the skin textures I own.

Why does Smacky punch demonesses in their stomachs so often? Storywise: Mainly because flaemes are about 8 feet tall and can breathe fire, so it's both easier and safer to punch them in the body than to take a risk aiming for their head. Sahmika also started training with her father as a child, and seeing that she was too short to strike the head of a training dummy, Master Wendell taught her that targeting the body is just as effective. Truth: Because I never saw any fantasy character do it before and I like the look of moment-of-impact strikes more than the aftermath of a swinging punch. A lot of people also seem to find it erotic, so I've basically made it her 'thing'.

And just a refesher for those who wonder why she has such a silly nickname: her fellow fae-child Tanja could never pronounce her name correctly, and called her "sah-mah-kee" after Sahmika beat up a bully at the orphanage. That turned into "smacky" due to the fight, and turned out to be very appropriate after all.
