Description
Prowling the nightmares of pirates and the subconscious of naval HVTs, the Brigantine-class Light Cruiser is a special-purpose warship. With its thinner armour and less brawl-heavy armament than the Snow-class Cruiser, the Brigantine is never seen in fleet actions.
Not as part of a main battlegroup, anyway.
Instead when acting as part of a larger fleet, the Brigantine and its battlegroup serve specialist roles, most notably as carrier-hunters and logistics snipers. Too fast to catch with heavy warships and too heavily armed for a specialist ship it is intended to hunt to resist, an unchecked Brigantine with its escort group is the bane of high-value targets, many a carrier, command ship and logistics hauler lost to a Brigantine's guns.

For this reason, despite being the lightest cruiser-grade warship, Brigantines only go to veteran captains.
