Yes. They're called hand tapes. Boxers and athletes use them to protect the hands and knuckles. Hand wraps on the other hand are made of cloth.
Oh... And bandages are used by injured people.

Didn't have them last night during training and wrist now hurts. But, putting them on just to support wrist/thumb even while doing nothing helped alleviate the pain.

I have the dorky gel wraps for drawing reference. They don't really help for training at all. I'd rather use the hand wraps for training since I don't need them for drawing reference. And then I have some cheap MMA grappling gloves for reference too. I mean, they work fine for training on the heavy bag, but I use the bag gloves for that instead.
Damned if I can never draw the stupid gloves from memory.

To think that if you see them everyday, you should be able to remember them now.
I don't have neither gloves nor wraps. We use bare hands in Aikido. And when I was in karate and kickboxing back in college, we didn't use them either. We hit the bag with bare fists.
I played some mma with friends a some months ago and used borrowed gloves. It's kind of cool to wear them.

Yeah, we used bare hands in Karate years ago, but since I haven't been doing anything remotely physical since I left the Dept. of Homeland Security, my upper body has weakened, so I'm back to using handwraps for protection/support until I don't need them anymore.

which is why i'm back with a friend. Gained 15 lbs in six months and I want it off. Down to 200 with me, and then maybe 10 more. Or up to whatever the muscle weighs. Not so much concerned with weight as I am with fat-to-muscle ratio.

God, I remember having to tape my feet down while playing basketball...they looked SO hot...but no fun at all D: my feet ached like crazy after every game. I almost gave up team captaincy at one point, until our coach pointed out that without the tapes I'd probably break all ten toes with the way I played so I didn't really mind them that much after
