saw Me Like Trees in the newest gallery and came over to see what you do . the quality of the work and the images you do are great but most feel too grotesque for my own tastes . this one is more reflective .
others commented how much feeling you get out of the 'eyes' and the body language of the robot - I certainly echo that . I don't know if I think the robot feels anything - I guess I still associate robots with a dispassionate point of view .
in the end this seems like the classic theme of life's persistence - like the plants coming back in the lava fields of some volcano - in this case the birds somehow managed to avoid the devastation , a sign that life persists . I guess I sort of assume the robot indicates man was not so lucky - the only observer to witness the rebirth is the non-living creation of the humans who cause (or suffered) it .
net - me with very large eyes with title 'Me Like Picture' ...

This is a wonderful piece. I love the sadness portrayed here. I also like the lack of color because it just adds so much to the mood and the piece itself.

I really like this peice. I'm amazed at how much emotion you could give using only eyes and positioning. Great job.

I am this. Lost. The box contains everything he has left..what he is. His soul. Which actually can never be put inside him, because he doesn't have a heart where to put it. That's why he can't belong, like the birds, who have hearts.
One word. Pinocchio.
Two unofficial words. Cylon toaster.

The only lives he ever knew were the crows that flocked around his rusty, godforsaken home, filled with the bodies of his ancestors....
sorry. your art can be just...so depressing!

this picture is amazing
so sad... so profound... it's wonderfull
thank you for sharing this!
i give it a try...
i think the robot is lost in thoughts about life and death, love and hate... it has the mind of a child and even the innocence of one... it cant understand how an intelligent race like human was able to ruin this planet...the robot condemned the humans for what they did... for destroying the planat, for making other beings to suffer... coeval it appreciate the peaceable being of the birds and it has a kind of sympathy for them...
...well thats what i think while watching your picture... but i still have no idea what could be in the box ^^

awww, he's so all alone. But does he know it? He doesn't seem to be too unhappy. I'm so glad he is not being attacked or attacking innocent little snowmen.

Love the piece. Amazing work. however i feel i missed one point, it shouldn't have birds in the image but a few cockroaches, they would have survived for sure. Oh and maybe Keith Richards.

Amazing how you get that sad, kind of wistful expression on a robot's face without any mouth or any mobile features whatsoever!

Whoa this hit me like a brick flying in the air o_o
I don't know what the real story is behind this piece
but its extremely powerful and it conveys a lot of meaning
the robot looks forlorn and sad [i'd like to hug it]
and the expression on its 'face' is just amazing,
i dont know how to put it but yeah
amazing job...!

you are fantastic at metal!
To me this picture looks like remorse. The robot has caused destruction - hence the rubble. And yet life goes on, well at least wild life.

be it what?
what would you do if you cared for the world.
I don't see this as sad,but I see serenity. Though choas seems to be the atmosphir in teh background teh Robot looks like it's at a sliglty disoriented peace...more like coping.

Little Robot Boy wanted to gasp when his friend left his finger, but he couldn't. Why did it fly? It was the only living being he had talked to in years.
"Wait, don't leave-" But the bird had already made up its mind to fly away.
Little Robot Boy had been too preoccupied with his new friend to notice that another had come to visit him. Will he ever look down by his side to notice the other bird waiting so patiently?
