looks like he is feeling guilty for what "his people" have done to the place or maybe it was him. ah well the city is destroyed it's no use crying over spilt blood not that robots have tears !

Looks really cool

Astounding.
I like the curious-looking raven next to him.
He looks like he's letting one fly away, so he can see if the others may stay.
It looks like the robot is just enjoying the silence and peace of this place.
Maybe he'll just walk away and drag the box with him sometime, never showing anyone what is in it.

Awestruck
I can't believe nobody else is seeing what i see i think that the robot has a feeling of missing something but doen't know what it is as if the ruins behind him he never had the chance to see before he "came out of his cardboard box"

QuestionableHowever, everyone sees art in a different way and i have a tendency of looking at things from a different angle sometimes i'm curious what the artist thinks. because some emotions are difficult to portray.

I want to hug him right now.
The Mood is fantastic, and, as dumb as this sounds, you really captured his "feelings" around him.
and of course, its so well drawn. fav? oh hell yeah! FAV!

How is it that the cardboard box can withstand the weight of the robot?
Maybe he is aluminum, and completely hollow-- the only life force keeping him functioning is the soul of the robot's creator?
OR....there could be something in the box. A crapped out HP printer?

Yes, there's something in the box, don't know what exactly though.

aaahaaaw maaan *heart (<3) spam* that's the most adorable little robo ('cept GIR ) I've ever seen ^.^
you always do such an amazing job on all your pictures, and there's so many meanings, feelings and hidden messages in them sometimes. I really love your art, mate. and I bet you know it
needless to say, this is a fav!
so, what I think the picture means. hm... well, the bird seems to me as it symbolizes freedom, something which the robot don't seem to have, which is also clearly reflected in the background with the broken and dead things, and him sitting on a box shows that he's probably homeless and doesn't really own anything.
the robot is looking up in the sky where the bird is, hoping he'll be free to fly away soon someday himself, away from that dead place and out in the open. looks like he wants to be just as free and alive as the bird. but, is the bird a raven? if it is, it symbolizes death doesn't it?
I really love this picture, it's so deep, full of meanings. I love that you drew a robot and not a human, too. gives a stronger impression, I think.
you're trully an amazing artist, Sieg!

i really love the feeling of loneliness portrayed in the piece... how its mostly the green tones. and the fact that despite all that, the cardboard box brings a feeling of comfort..

This would make a really good music video, if expanded upon as an idea.
"If death came for mankind at dawn,
Who'd feed the birds when we were all gone?
Oh sad machine boy, the only one
Can your sorrow give seeds to their song ?"

Beautiful and emotional. Maybe a little more warm colours would have brought out a more affectionate feeling between the birds and the robot boy.

I'm curious how the box and bird survived, since everything around that survived is rock or metal.
I like how you tilted the head just so that the outline of his jaw makes him look as if he's sad.
