So amazing, love the expression, so sad and lost, the textures, background, greyish and desolated ambience, colours...everything
Mmm I don't know, but when I see it I think about a war, which has destroyed everything and the survivors are those birds, and the robot has recently been activated, after the war ended, so he is a lost child Don't know if I'm near the right path, but it's what I imagine from seeing it ^^

Great work once again, and it's a robot yay!
The only crits I could have, is that the cardboard box looks really resistant, maybe it could have been folded down a bit where he is sat on it (as he must be kinda heavy), then again, maybe it's full of something? And maybe the composition is a bit too ordinary, the robot is in the dead center of the image, as is the horizon.
Still, I love it.

Technically, I love your colours & perspective here, and the fog/fade-out effect on the debris, far behind the figure.
Maybe the kid-robot survived an explosion by hiding under the cardboard box?(heh, too many nights playing Metal Gear)...Also the fact it's staring at the birds in the sky after all is lost, brings in mind the theme of hope that never dies...Something like that...
This is where I become boring!

This piece, looks sad?
It looks like th robot's only/last friend (the bird) is leaving him and he has nothing else left... Hence the cardboard box.
Still, he has some sweet lookin feet

I need a few strands of your hair, Beloved-Creature, for a skill potion I'm brewing in the bathtub in my basement.
I love your technique.
I have gripes, but they are tiny and few. At first glance the flying bird appeared to be in the distance as the color of it sort of fades in with the sky. This, of course, is before I even layed eyes on the other two birds or I would have seen what it was based on that perspective. If it popped out a little more, it would correct the problem.
The viewer's eye already automatically goes from centerpage to the robot's face. The face is pointing towards the top-right corner so up to there we see the bird, but call me slow witted, it took me longer than usual to realize that the bird was small and in the foreground and not a large bird flying past the robot from behind.
I love the expression of the robot. It genuinely looks sad, even though all you had to work with were the eyes and body position. Overall the color scheme helps the sad feeling by being a bit dreary, but I think the bluegreen of the shadowed pavement livens the picture up a bit which is nice.
Everyone is coming up with meanings for the picture, so I guess I'll give it a shot while I'm posting something here.
There was some kind of devastation to the city the robot was constructed in.
The robot looks young and sad but also curious about the birds. It woke up for the first time, got out of the factory box it was in, and knew absolutely nothing about the world or what these creatures might be.
It looks friendly enough so it probably tries communicating with the bird. They're not going to sit around all day, though, and soon they're flying off leaving the poor robot alone waiting for instructions that won't come.
I shall +fav for great justice.

And so Pete sat alone with his birds, counting the hours until his master Jimmy would return and they would play catch. He never looked at the destruction around him, he never understood what he had done. He simply waited for his master to return to their spot.
I dunno. That is kind of what I thought about when I saw the it.
I really do like the picture.

Poor baby... to me, it seems like the robot's just a kid, and he's sad. Possibly trapped in that ruined place, explaining him staring at the free bird.
Either way, it's wonderful.

First off i just have to point out how amazing this is. The colours, the textures, the expression. i love it all. A must have fav.
Okay...now the story. Some apocalyptic disater has wiped out humanity and most organic life quite a while ago, leavng only techonology left. The birds only escaped because they managed to migrate to another continent. This robot was built/activated/awakened long after the disaster for whatever reason and has found his way into the ruins of a city. Since he has only been operating for a while he is almost childlike in his knowledge/view of the world and sees the birds as they return, wondering what these strange warm things are. Am I close? XD

Dude, I really have to pee now, so I'll make this quick.
It's the soul of a boy trapped in a robot, which gave him enough armor to withstand the apocalyptic explosion. The birds was high enough to get away from the explosion. And now the boy has only birds for friends. The boy's real body is being kept in the box, which in turn shielded the body from desctruction. But the boy need the love of the birds to get his soul back into his body, and is calling them now with his pre-recorded robot bird sounds....
okay, now I'll stop 'coz I'm being rediculous now. The pee is getting to my brain.
The colouring is freaking amazing, once again! Nice job on the robot face, with only eyes, you still manage to emote the robot's sadness, which is quite hard to do.

Perhaps the last functioning or living thing after either a Great War or possibly it's just the ruins of a factory that had exploded years before and this robot his just thinking in it's secluded place of secrecy.

Its patently obvious what is going on:
The robot and birds are the soul survivors of an apocalypse. The cardboard box contains the lsat supplies of bird seed. The robot feeds the birds. Simple.
Nice paint d00d.

Your composition in this is amazing. I love the overall color theme. It seems to me that the bird in flight is flying away from the robot. I wonder why.

awesome work.
what i see in it is a child like manufactured robot who was packaged away and came on line too late. kinda like that a.i. movie from a way back.
the robot seems curious and innocent but lost.
