My guess is that it's because you either changed tempo before using the freq tracer, are using mode 2 for making the initial tracing (instead of mode 1 like I use), are using the ??? mode which I have no clue what is or ... locale problems maybe? I think I get the same error when I use freq tracer for utau version 4.18 instead of 2.76, so that might be a thing you need to check too

so its kinda like mikumikuvoice, right? but for utau??

Yeah, it's basically the same thing, but I must admit the freq tracer is a bit more tedious to work with, because you have to convert it to mode 2 afterwardsΒ

tbh i dont have the patience for freq tracer lmaoo it's just easier to make a base vsq, import it into utau and tune accordingly in mode 2

In the end, it's the same amount of work haha but I guess it's just about what method suits you best and which one you're more familiar with

thanks for making the tutorial.Β
I have some questions though,
I spilt the wav file, and traced the pitch in mode 2, but when i play it, the timing gets weird(??)
When converted to vcv, utau would sing the vowel before the consonant(the overlap). In this case, it did that, but it did not sing the consonant after the vowel in time, when the next note begins, it picks up from the consonant or vowel that the previous note couldnt pick up(it sings the overlap instead) , so eventually the other notes gets affected too, and the whole thing got screwy.Β
I have checked the tempo and its exactly like the song, so idk whats wrong since i have searched everywhere and no one seems to be this problem??Β

And also, can the freq tracer only produce the notes without the pitch bends(sorta like a midi) ?? so it can potentially prevent the problem mentioned above

I think your problem might be that you're using vcv for making the initial pitch trace? I find it much easier to trace with a cv voicebank and then go clear preutterance and overlap on all notes(this might be what's causing your problem? Try and see if it works with cv voicebanks like defoko. If so then it's probably either STP or preutterance/overlap problems)Β
If all things fail, then try to copy the notes using a copy-paste plug-in to put all the notes in a new project :>

And no sadly it doesn't do that accurately enough if it's a human singer :c (I guess it's possible by removing all pitchbends and a helluva lot of fixing notes tho lmao)

The problem is solved now! It turns out that the problem is about the preutterance and overlap. After clearing it, it sounds perfectly fine even in VCV.Β  Thanks a lot! :>>>

I have a problem, it don't show the spectrum and pitch parts, it just stay black after i put my .wav file, do you know a way to resolve this? :C

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

So-sweet-me In reply to 8Patja [2014-07-03 00:32:46 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm...I don't know why that is, but is it a special type of wav? Because when I export wavs from REAPER, they're usually fucked up, so maybe that's it? Otherwise, try sending me the wav, and I'll see if I can open it/see if there's anything wrong ^u^

8Patja In reply to So-sweet-me [2014-07-03 16:32:01 +0000 UTC]

Well, actually i made the acapella with Utagoe but it didn't work, so i export it again but from audacity, ( i would send you the wav but i deleted it :T, i will try again and tell you if it doesn't work, are you ok with that?)

(Sorry for the bad english OTL)

Ohh yeah, that seems like a good idea! And don't worry, your English is really good ;v;

TheMrGracz [2014-06-30 09:08:11 +0000 UTC]

Oh- Thank you, but I can't find any accapella of Voca music ;_;

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

So-sweet-me In reply to TheMrGracz [2014-06-30 17:40:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, clean acapellas can be really hard to find, so sometimes it's easier to make them yourself
You can either use utagoe (www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmDuNE… )Β or audacity ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p5QC-… )Β for it~ It's more common to find acapellas of the popular American pop songs, but there /are/ some for voca songs, but they are hard to find

This is awesome but, when I click done it gives me an error saying "Out of memory" Please help if you can..

So-sweet-me In reply to Gnizam-P [2014-02-23 19:11:26 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm I never had that problem ;o; but try doing it with only a part of the wav, because wavs for a whole song can take up a lot of the memory (if that makes sense hahah)

I actually found out that I was pressing the weird button that is never used. Then I found out I had accidentally deleted two days of work. still, I did save some of it
