Celestial Beings are the true forms of the orbs we see from earth. They're close to being gods, as some of them have the power to cultivate life. A Celestial Being has no gender, sexuality, or need to reproduce, but most retain a need to socialize, or at very least, keep together in groups as they float across an endless void. There can be all types of Celestial beings, as the only definition of them is their ability to float organically in space.
Moons are an Inferior status of celestial entity, acting as servants for their masters whom they rotate around indefinitely, never straying too far. The type of relationship between an owner and a moon is less based on ownership than it is on mutual respect, at any time a moon can leave the service of a planet to join another, which would bring the planet shame in its society. Planets have an obligation to take good care of their moons, but there are cases of relationships spreading to every possible category, including the unfortunate ones. Dwarf Planets are also known to have the ability to recruit moons. Moons themselves decide to take the company of the larger entities almost instinctively, in return for their service moons are granted protection from suns and other aggressive planets that may seek to consume them. Moons exist at the bottom of the social tier in a system, as things like asteroids and comets are not included in their hierarchy.

Phobos, the largest and innermost of Mars' two moons, is malformed even in its spherical form. Appearing lopsided and pointed on one end, its so irregular that it is even referenced by others as a rubble-heap. The moon features one radiant green, oval eye, a mouth full of pointed teeth, horns, webbed spines along its back, a bulbous insectoid tail, and large, clawed hind-feet. What Phobos lacks in depth perception it makes up for in zealous, and gluttonous ambitions. It strives to have everything it does not, from a higher status, to a larger physical size, to more universal knowledge. If someone else has something, Phobos wants it too. For this reason it can be considered a bit of a kleptomaniac, however, so far no Celestials have been able to prove its crimes beyond things mysteriously 'going missing' whenever the moon comes to orbit. Mars saw Phobos' nature as comical, and hence took the moon in unaware of the extent of its greed. To this day Phobos prowls around Mars, getting closer every year, scheming its ambitious (yet slightly idiotic) plan to attempt to devour Mars when the time is right. It is estimated that in the next 30-50ish million years, Phobos will crash into Mars' surface and shatter itself into a planetary ring, ultimately causing the glutton's demise. It also enjoys eating copious and questionable amounts of space debris in its spare time, resulting in some celestial fat rolls.
