Description I must say that out of all the methods and approaches to drawing a head I've seen and tried out, this is the easiest and most accurate one.

Step 3 is not very comprehensible, setting a guessed line as base for the new set of thirds.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

soas95 In reply to RobnRoll [2013-10-09 01:18:12 +0000 UTC]

I apologize if my tutorial wasn't blatant enough, but if you would care to look at the right of the picture in step three, you will notice that the eyebrow line is right between the eye line, which is exactly in the middle of the face, and the origin of the circle drawn in step one.

I was make tutorials because i find hardly any out there that are precise enough. I was extremely careful to be as detailed as possible, and I never, EVER, guess.

I truly hope I point you in the right direction!

I would've hated you if you didn't include something about the mouth and ears~
But seeing as how you did that i'm very grateful. Thanks so much~!
I love drawing facial expressions, but I've been finding my realistic drawings still looking very 'cartoonish/anime' like. This should help me a lot. ~*
Thank you again.

This is a great reference. They taught me all this stuff in art school, but my memory sucks, and I lost my notes XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

soas95 In reply to Sam-Owen [2013-06-15 15:06:02 +0000 UTC]

Well, there you have it! I was tired of seeing tutorials where they said," draw a circle, then a cross, connect them with a failed jaw, then BAM put everything in without reference points and DONE. Haha, I hope it helps!
