From the beginning of Between Angels and Insects by for Darqx's contest (my final submission squeaking in at the last second) ^_^I apologize for some of the more wobbly lines, I inked part of this in moving car. I am a little sad, I used about six colors in the skin tones (seven in .D's) and they don't really show. Ah well, such is the life of a person with a really lousy scanner.
And of course I used colored pencil and brush pen (my immortal love)

Izm's parents... were actually really fun to draw. Except his mom's hair pissed me off, I could never get it just right.... But his dad was very entertaining. I don't usually draw middle aged working men; like most fangirls out there, I like my boys young and slightly feminine -stares at Kenshin ^_^ - so it was an interesting experiment.
(In the case of old guys, the trick is fat with angry jowls; in the case of -matured- women its wrinkles, lipstick, an ample -if saggy- bust, or pudge.)
