Description
This drawing (12" x 16" on Canson Mi-Teintes sand-coloured paper) was originally meant for next year's RAINN calendar, but there was a mixup where I got the wrong dimensions, so I'm working on a new one now. This one is for sale, with half the proceeds to be donated to the aforementioned charity. Please go to my site, [link] , if you're interested in buying it.Also, detail images are here: [link] and here: [link]

It's white acrylic ink, and I think the brand-name is Winsor & Newton.

i was looking through your gallery and this is my favorite. i love your style, it's real and not. i really admire your thoughtfulness when it comes to the detail in your pieces. it's beautiful. i'm not one who's a stickler for details, i don't have the patience for it. i like seeing artists who really take such care. wow this wasnt a good place for a mini-paragraph, but i had to show appreciation.
yay for your art!

Your one of the best artists on here, i'm always surprised your work dont get a lot more comments considering how good it is. I guess it's because your work is more mature and theres too many kids on here. Anyway, very very good stuff.

There is so much to this. I really enjoy the motif of the kimono sleeve type clothing bleeding out into the actual physical world. It's an arboreal explosion, but still stunningly calm.
I also appreciate the familiar lil' bird.

The detail and quality of the illustration is outstanding as usual, but the white highlights really standout, and not in a good way imo. they seem to give teh piece a feeling of being unfinished..perhaps if there was more highlight treatment or none at all this would be less noticiable...just my 2 cents and thats about all my opinion is worth

This inspired by Tori Amos' Crucify song? The lady reminds me of Tori Amos..
It's lovely!

Yeah, it is--it was originally for a calendar put out by her charity, RAINN, but the dimensions were wrong, so I have to start over.

By far one of my favorite pieces of yours, and that's saying a lot. I just love the grace and smooth lines of her body combined with all the organic textures. Plus the pursed lips and big poufs are just cute.

Your work is always so amasing. I love the area of highlights.... just enough to bring her out of the drawing.

A perfect Tori image...it's too bad that the dimensions are wrong for the calendar, but it's wonderful what you're doing.
