Well I think that the atmosphere is so soft I like it that way ^^
Don't worry too much, the painting is fine, and sometimes simple and cute backgrounds are better than super shaded ones, I prefer this type personally and I think I remember some paintings like this from the official movie art ^^

I really want to get the art book! I've seen some from it and it looks sooo good. I just wanna drool XD I kinda like things rough, but I just feel like I need more practice. I want things a perfect mix of rough and detailed!

Yeah me too! I have been looking for them, I think I'm going to persuade someone to give me one on my birthday hohohoho
*drools too* well most of the character design was done by Nico Marlet and if you look for his designs you will see he has a rough line,
but I love his drawings, the dragons are amazing  
Every artist feels like they need to practice, I feel like that T_T I have soooooooo much to learn, but if it wasn't like that it would be boring to draw I think XD, don't worry when things need to be detailed you will do it ^^

i guess it does feel good when you make things work for the first time I wouldn't mind at all being a concept artist, or animator, or story boarder.. lol anything really. Wish I could start now, but ugh, school I guess lol

Yay, that feels really good! but then after a few days, you look at it and you say: WHAT IS THIS SHIT XD (I'm exaggerating a bit really... xD)
Yeaaah, I feel you, I would like to be any of those, although I really like to draw, sooo I would prefer 2D animation plus concept or storyboarding, but to think that some incredible movie would be done with your little help sometime, that's amazing, I often look at the credits like a dummy hoping to be there sometime haha
Yeah school xD but the good part is you can practice when you have free time
