So sorry if it sucks then.A lot of people ask me about this, so I figured it's time to share my secrets! XD (yeah, "secrets")
Basically, I don't actually look like a man. It's a very clever illusion, and one that apparently works seeing as I often find myself getting dirty looks in the bathroom at cons ("I swear, I belong here just as much as you!" TwT). But still, it's a ILLUSION nonetheless. This pretty much just describes what I do, but it's obviously is going to vary a little from person to person. Take what you will out of this, I am in no way shape or form saying "THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK LIKE A MAN!"

i'm going to definately use this as one of my refrences once i get my wig. i've played around a bit with make-up, but it's hard to see the finished result when i still have my long girly hair XD
my only reccomendation for your tutorial here, would be to make the blue representing where you put the highlights darker. i had to look very close before i saw that you had marks there (that or my eyes are bad

Yeah, I didn't realize how light it looked until I uploaded it (looked fine in photoshop!), and it took half an hour to upload it in the first place, because the file is so huge. I might change it, but right now I don't want to mess with it. @-@

haha, understandable XD i've had those situations when everything was going to shit, so when you do finaly finish, you dont even want to look at it anymore (shakes fist)
but i love the tutorial, rather great for your first time. i had no idea about the extention of the eyebrows, but after thinking about it i realized just how right you were! and it's those little details that can really finish it all off

Yeah, when I first started cosplaying as Ten, I noticed there just wasn't something right about my eyebrows. I could raise them up high enough and all that, but they just didn't seem as long. And then I looked, and the simple reason for that was because they weren't. XD

never thought of contouring the sides of one's mouth and the temples!

This looks great and I might eventually try this out but I would like to give some advice if you ever going to be making a makeup related tutorial again nothing big but just things I noticed...well 2 things. Your pictures are taken from a slight distance now I have to admit that I am really slow at catching on slight changes in a persons face so it's not very clear to me. Next time it might be handier to take close up face shots.
And the second thing is at the end to post a close up of before and then after next to eachother to see the whole effect more clearly. Other then that great tutorial! ^_^

Though I did find this to be extremely helpful (even though I do already know this since we both are avid cross-dressers haha). Great job. I don't think I could make a tutorial....I'm not patient enough.

HA, no, that wouldn't work would it? Although, he does have rather shapely eyebrows. XD
Also, you might want to look into a lace backed hairpiece for that beard. That'd mean it would be reusable, and much easier to deal with than constructing a crepe wool beard each time. Something like this maybe?
