"All That I Am" by Rob Thomas.It's probably just down to her colour scheme, but something compelled me to doodle up Lu with one pretty white wing and one sorry looking black wing a while ago... Dug the sketch up again last night and really wanted to submit it because it's actually a pretty nice reflection of Lucy's character. AKA; how she's a big ball of bi-polar feeelings~ 8D It looked kind of plain on it's own, but then this song sprung to mind and I was like "yessss" D:< It's got the most exquisite lyrics and music, so give it a listen if you can.
Anyway. EXPLAINATIONS YOU DIDN'T ASK FOR?
The fact Lucy is literally made of sunshine and rainbows makes it kind of easy to forget that everything she once loved is now deeeeead....
And she goes so all-in to being a superhero it kind of overrides the fact that she's a broken little baby herself who in a lot of ways isn't totally cut out for being a superhero at all... But that's the thing - her sunny disposition has the resilience of a cockroach so if she's knocked down she can get back up again, the little trooper. c: Not to mention she understands the value of keeping up appearances when it comes to people just needing someone who at least looks like they've got things under control, you know? Plus she's a big believer in "Fake it 'til you make it", so pft. xD Hey, you're more than half way there if your heart is in it, right? And if Lucy has one thing to her credit it's heart
Wait what was that thing in Captain America? *GOOGLES* Yes, that thing about him being "not a perfect soldier, but a good man." Those are some values Lu can get behind >:I

I love this. I love your too much information that I did need thank you very much, and I love little Lucy and her resilient spirit. She IS such a spring for apparently endless happy and love and rainbow-sparkles, but she's still a human being. A human being who's trucked through so much crud, and yet still came out on the other end with so much love to pour out on people. She is a remarkable person, and UGH I just want to throw nice people at her. She needs people (or a Somebody) to shower some love back on her, dammit. >:'I
