Ugh.
I never expect these pictures to take as long as they do...Tried sort of a different style of shading, so that it's less subtle. I like it. C:
Anyway. Yes. This guy.
You see, I've developed sort of a thing for robots over the past few months, and I wanted a cyborg. Badly. >:I
I think I might call this young lad "Flynn". Don't ask why. It popped into my head when I started typing. He was orignally supposed to be an aye-aye, but then I designed his ears too small and thought that the aye-aye's traditional markings didn't really work for him... So now I'm not sure what he is. Who cares, he has robot parts. That coolifies everything.
This pic is set right after he loses his arm to an explosion caused by a suicide bomber. Oh, yeah. Aproximately four months after this, he gets in a car accident and loses his leg, too. I just haven't designed that yet. And he has heart problems, so he might end up with an artificial one of those as well.
Kid just can't catch a break.
Needless to say, he's pretty passive about his situation. He's the kind of guy who just goes with the flow of life and accepts what it throws at him. I hate angst overdose.
Oh. I don't have an outfit for him designed yet, either. So that's why he's nekkid. *shot*
I actually kinda like how this turned out. Hey, that's a first. Let's hope I have more stuff like that. And that I learn how to draw something besides fluffy cat-things.

Before I start, sorry for not commenting much on your artwork. I do look at all of them, yesh, but I didn't really want to spam you with "OMG COOL" and "I love how this turned out!" stuff. XD However, right now is different. This new piece of yours is AWESOMENESS and I'm going to critique it! 8D

Now, if there are some stuff I can critique from a critic's point of view, it would be that the background looks too flat. You could have also made the bed/fluffy thing he's sitting on more 3D-istic, using the marker and the airbrush tool more. Hmmm, apart from that, I don't think there's many flaws to pick out. Ooh, and I like the stripey background. :3

No, I didn't use SAI, just Coral Painter like always. Thank you for the compliment, though. 
But yes, I will agree, backgrounds are the bane of my existence. XD I think it should be apparent by now that I am not one for detail in that department, but I really should try to make more of an effort. I'll keep that in mind in the future.

I like the new shading. And I really like the lineart style. Not too smooth, not too rough. I think it's best for your style.
